Գիտնականները Զիկա վիրուսի համաճարակ են կանխատեսել Ասիայում եւ Աֆրիկայում

Ասիայում եւ Աֆրիկայում ավելի քան 2 միլիարդ մարդ կարող Է վարակվել Զիկա վիրուսով: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին, ասված Է Lancet Infectious Diseases հանդեսում հրապարակված զեկույցում:
Օքսֆորդի, Տորոնտոյի եւ այլ համալսարաններից մի խումբ գիտնականների կարծիքով՝ վիրուսի համար առավել խոցելի են Հնդկաստանի, Ինդոնեզիայի եւ Նիգերիայի բնակիչները: Վիրուսի համաճարակ կարող Է սկսվել նաեւ Ֆիլիպիններում, Վիետնամում, Պակիստանում եւ Բանգլադեշում:
Գիտնականների կանխատեսումները հիմնված են այն ճանապարհորդների քանակության վրա, որոնք փոխադրվում են ինքնաթիռներով: Բացի դրանից, նրանք առանձնացրել են այն երկրները, որոնցում բնակվում են վիրուսի տարածմանն ունակ մոծակներ, ինչպես նաեւ հաշվի են առել տեղական կլիման: Այս ամենի հիման վրա նրանք որոշել են այն երկրները, որոնցում կարող Է համաճարակ սկսվել դրանցում վիրուսի հայտնվելու դեպքում:
Զիկա վիրուս Է հայտնաբերվել աշխարհի 65 երկրներում, դրանց թվում են Ասիայի շատ երկրներ:
Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպությունը Զիկա վիրուսը ճանաչել Է գլոբալ սպառնալիք: Այն փոխանցվում Է մոծակների միջոցով եւ սեռական ճանապարհով: Վիրուսի դեմ պատվաստանյութ դեռեւս չկա:
