Մահացել է Իսրայելի քաղաքականության վետերան Բեն Էլիեզերը

Օգոստոսի 28-ին 80 տարեկան հասակում մահացել է Իսրայելի պաշտոնաթող գեներալ եւ բազմակի նախարար, հրեական պետության չկայացած նախագահ, արաբական աշխարհի հետ նրա գաղտնի շփումների միջնորդ Բենիամին Բեն Էլիեզերը:
Քաղաքական գործչի մահվան կապակցությամբ, որը պատկանում էր ներկայում ընդդիմադիր ձախ կենտրոնամետ ճամբարին, ցավակցություն են հայտնել Իսրայելի նախագահն ու վարչապետը:
Բեն Էլիեզերը տարբեր տարիների գլխավորել է շինարարության, կապի, արդյունաբերության, առեւտրի եւ աշխատանքի, ազգային ենթակառուցվածքի նախարարությունները: «Երկրորդ ինտիֆադայի»՝ դարասկզբին պաղեստինյան զինված ապստամբության շրջանում նա զբաղեցնում էր պաշտպանության նախարարի պաշտոնը: 2014 թվականին Բեն Էլիեզերն առաջադրվել էր Իսրայելի նախագահի պաշտոնում, բայց հանեց իր թեկնածությունն այն բանից մեկ օր անց, երբ նրան հարցաքննեց ոստիկանությունը, որը հետաքրքրվել էր թանկ բնակարանի ձեռքբերման միջոցների աղբյուրով:
Նա հարաբերություններ էր պահպանում հարեւան պետությունների ղեկավարների, մասնավորապես, Եգիպտոսի բազմամյա նախագահ Հոսնի Մուբարաքի հետ: Խորհրդարանի մամուլի ծառայությունը հիշեցրել է, որ 1994 թվականին Բեն Էլիեզերը վարչապետ Իցհակ Ռաբինի կողմից ուղարկվել էր Թունիս՝ գաղտնի բանակցություններ վարելու Յասիր Արաֆաթի հետ: «Նա դարձել է Իսրայելի առաջին նախարարը, որը հանդիպում է ունեցել պաղեստինյան ղեկավարի հետ»,- ասված է մահախոսականում, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստի գործակալությունը:
