Թուրքիան Սիրիայի տարածք ներխուժելով կոպտորեն խախտել է միջազգային իրավունքը, դա ռազմական ագրեսիա է: Այս մասին, այսօր՝ օգոստոսի 25-ին, լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ նշել է ԱԳ նախկին փոխնախարար, արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Արման Նավասարդյանը:

Նա հիշեցրել է, որ Թուրքիան հայտարարել է, որ Սիրիայում պայքարելու է «Իսլամական պետության» դեմ, բայց այդ ամենը քաղաքական հնարք է եւ փողեր, որոնց հետեւում մեծ խնդիր է կանգնած՝ հնարավորինս չեզոքացնել քրդական շարժումը բոլոր ուղղություններով. «Երկու գերտերություններ՝ ԱՄՆ-ը եւ Ռուսաստանը, շատ հետաքրքիր դիրքորոշում են որդեգրել: Տեղի է ունեցել հետաքրքիր դիվանագիտական խաղ. Ռուսաստանի լռության պայմաններում եւ ԱՄՆ աջակցությամբ թուրքերը արեցին այն, ինչ վաղուց էին ուզում: Այսօր մենք ականատես ենք լուրջ ռազմական գործողությունները»:

Նավասարդյանի կարծիքով, Ռուսաստանն ու ԱՄՆ-ը նոր քաղաքականություն են սկսում Սիրիայում, Թուրքիայի հետ միասին: Դա, ըստ դիվանագետի, կարող է բեկումնային նշանակություն ունենալ թուրք-ամերիկյան հարաբերություններում. «Թուրքիան փաստացի խաղում է տարաձայնությունների վրա: Հասկանալով, որ վաղ թե ուշ, իրավիճակը տարածաշրջանում պետք է կարգավորվի, եւ հարց է ծագում, թե տարածաշրջանի պետություններից ով է լինելու «առաջին ջութակը», Անկարան անում է ամեն ինչ՝ առաջատար դիրքեր զբաղեցնելու համար: Որքանով է դա հաջողվում, ես դժվարանում եմ ասել, քանի որ այդ ամենը Թուրքիայի երկարաժամկետ աշխարհաքաղաքական պլանների մեջ են ներառված, որոնց վերջնական նպատակը Օսմանյան կայսրության վերակենդանացումն է: Եթե այդ պլանները, առնվազն, առաջխաղացում ունենան, սիրիական պետությունը կկործանվի»,-ամփոփել է Արման Նավասարդյանը:
