Ռիո-2016. Հայաստանի վերջին ներկայացուցիչները լքեցին պայքարը, Հայաստանը ելույթն ավարտեց 4 մեդալով

Հայաստանը ներկայացնող Դավիթ Սաֆարյանը (65 կգ) ու Գեորգի Կետոեւը (97 կգ) դուրս մնացին պայքարից Ռիո դե Ժանեյրոյում ավարտին մոտեցող ամառային Օլիմպիական խաղերի ազատ ոճի ըմբշամարտի մրցաշարում:
Ռիո-2016-ում Հայաստանի վերջին 2 ներկայացուցիչները 1/8 եզրափակիչում պարտվել էին մեկնարկային գոտեմարտերում, իսկ նրանց հաղթած ըմբիշները պարտություն կրեցին կիսաեզրափակիչում: Դրանից հետո Հայաստանի ըմբիշները զրկվեցին բրոնզե մեդալի համար պայքարելու հնարավորությունից:
Հիշեցնենք, որ 30-ամյա Գեորգի Կետոեւը 1:8 հաշվով պարտվել էր Բաքվում կայացած 2015թ. Եվրոպական խաղերի փոխչեմպիոն, 27-ամյա վրացի Էլիզբար Օդիկաձեին, իսկ 27-ամյա Դավիթ Սաֆարյանը 1:3 հաշվով պարտվել էրաշխարհի ու Եվրոպայի գործող չեմպիոն, 24-ամյա իտալացի Ֆրանկ Մարկեսին:
Ազատ ոճի ըմբշամարտի Հայաստանի թիմի կազմում Ռիո-2016-ում հանդես էին եկել Գառնիկ Մնացականյանը (57 կգ) եւ Լեւան Բերիանիձեն (125 կգ), որոնք մեդալ չէին նվաճել: Մնացականյանը պարտությամբ էր մեկնարկել, իսկ Բերիանիձեն, պարտվելով կիսաեզրափակիչում, չէր հաղթել նաեւ բրոնզե մեդալի համար գոտեմարտում:
Այսպիսով, Ռիո-2016-ին 31 մարզիկով մասնակցած Հայաստանը ելույթն ավարտեց 1 ոսկե ու 3 արծաթե մեդալով եւ ընթացիկ 42-րդն է մեդալային հաշվարկում, բայց կարող է նահանջել:
Օգոստոսի 16-ին գյումրեցի ըմբիշ Արթուր Ալեքսանյանն օլիմպիական չեմպիոն էր դարձել հունահռոմեական ոճի ըմբշամարտի մրցաշարի 98 կգ քաշային կարգում, 66 կգ քաշային Միհրան Հարությունյանը կողմնակալ մրցավարության պատճառով պարտվել էր եզրափակիչում եւ բավարարվել արծաթե մեդալով, իսկ գերծանր քաշային ծանրորդ Գոռ Մինասյանը նվաճել էր Հայաստանի չորրորդ մեդալը՝ դառնալով օլիմպիական փոխչեմպիոն: Օգոստոսի 15-ին էլ 19-ամյա ծանրորդ Սիմոն Մարտիրոսյանը երկրորդ տեղն էր գրավել 105 կգ քաշային կարգում՝ նվաճելով Հայաստանի առաջին մեդալը:
