Ընթացիկ տարում ռեկորդային թվով պոտենցիալ բլոքբաստեր-ֆիլմեր են ձախողվել վարձույթում, չնայած դրամարկղային մուտքերի միագումար ցուցանիշի ոչ մեծ աճին: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է«Արմենպրես»-ը, գրել Է The Wall Street Journal-ը:Տարեսկզբից 100 մլն դոլարից ավելի բյուջերով 15 կինոնկարներ դրամական մուտքերի սպասումները չեն արդարացրել անցյալ տարվա համապատասխան ժամանակաշրջանի ընդամենը ութի դիմաց:
Առավել աղմկահարույց ձախողումների թվում են՝ «Սպիտակաձյունիկը եւ որսորդը 2», «Նինձյա-կրիաներ 2», «Անկախության օրը. Վերածնունդ», «Տարզան. Լեգենդ» եւ «Ուրվականներ որսացողները» ֆիլմերը:
Ամառային տարեշրջանում (որն ԱՄՆ-ում մեկնարկում Է մայիսի առաջին հանգստյան օրերից) թողարկվել են 17 թանկարժեք ֆիլմեր՝ 2015 թվականի նույն ժամանակաշրջանի 11-ի դիմաց, սակայն դրանց միջին վաստակը, BoxOfficeMojo կայքի տվյալների համաձայն, 220 մլն դոլարից ընկել Է մինչեւ 150 մլն դոլար: Քննադատներն առանձին խոսում են վերջին երկու գերհերոսական ֆիլմերի՝ «Բեթմենն ընդդեմ Սուպերմենի» եւ «Ինքնասպանների ջոկատի» հետ կապված իրադրության մասին: Դրանք չի կարելի ձախողված համարել ֆինանսական տեսակետից. առաջինն աշխարհում վաստակել Է 873 մլն դոլար, երկրորդը՝ 456 մլն դոլար,-սակայն դրանք խիստ բացասական արձագանքներ են ստացել եւ չեն արդարացրել ինչպես ստուդիաների, այնպես Էլ հանդիսատեսների սպասումները: Մինչդեռ տարվա սկզբից աշխարհի տասը խոշորագույն կինոշուկաների միագումար դրամական մուտքերը, comScore կայքի հաշվարկների համաձայն, ավելացել են 1 տոկոսով եւ կազմել 18 մլրդ դոլարից փոքր-ինչ ավելի, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
