«Առավոտ» թերթը գրում է. «Ապրիլյան պատերազմում ողնաշարի ծանր վիրավորում ստացավ ժամկետային զինծառայող Ռուբեն Առաքելյանը: Նրա անունով դրամահավաք կազմակերպվեց եւ թոշակառուներն անգամ իրենց լումաներով կոպեկ-կոպեկ հավաքեցին Գերմանիայում Ռուբենի բուժման համար անհրաժեշտ գումարը: 

Սակայն «Առավոտին» են դիմել Ռուբեն Առաքելյանի հարազատները՝ պատմելով, թե ինչպես են իրենք խաբեության զոհ դարձել, զինվորի արյան համար լումայով հավաքված փողի մի մասը, նրանց պատմելով Գերմանիայում գրպանել են: Գերմանիայի հայ բժիշկների միության վարչության անդամ Վարդան Խաչատրյանը կապվել է Ռուբեն Առաքելյանի հարազատների հետ եւ «Յոր Գլոբալ Մեդ» ձեռնարկության ծառայություններն առաջարկել՝ զինծառայողի՝ Բոնի համալսարանին կից պոլիկլինիկայում բուժումը շարունակելու համար: 
Ռուբեն Առաքելյանի հարազատներից մեկը՝ Հովհաննես Թումանյանը մեզ հետ զրույցում պատմեց, որ կլինիկային փոխանցել են 77 հազար 490 եվրո. «Հավաքել էինք նաեւ 11 հազար եվրո, որը փոխանցել ենք Վարդան Խաչատրյանին: Այդ գումարով նա խոստացել էր, որ 3 ամսվա համար պետք է Ռուբենի մորը՝ Անահիտին հյուրանոցում տեղավորի, սննդի հարցերը լուծի, ապահովի թարգմանություն: Ինքը ասում էր՝ 24 ժամ Անահիտը մենակ չի լինելու, թարգմանվելու է: Մենք պայմանավորվել էինք, որ ինքը ինչ անի՝ պետք է կտրոնով անի: Մեզ ներկայացել էր՝ որպես Գերմանիայի «Գլոբալ Մեդ» կազմակերպության տնօրեն Վարդան Խաչատրյան, պարզվեց՝ ինքը տնօրենը չի, խաբեբայություն էր: Ինքը ասում էր՝ 24 ժամ Անահիտը մենակ չի լինելու, թարգմանվելու է: Մենք Viber-ով խոսել ենք, եղել է իմ կինը, քեռին, ես, շատ-շատ բարձր բաներ էր խոտանում, բայց ոչ մի բան չի արել: Խաբեբայությունով այդ 11 հազար եվրոն տարել է, որը հավաքվել էր հայ ազգի օգնությամբ՝ տատիկների թոշակով, կոպեկ-կոպեկ հավաքված գումար է»:
