Երեկ՝ օգոստոսի 10-ին, խոշոր ու շղթայական ավտովթար է տեղի ունեցել Կոտայքի մարզում։
Ժամը 21։00-ի սահմաններում Երևան-Սևան ավտոճանապարհի 39 կմ հատվածում՝ Հրազդանի վարչական տարածքում բախվել են Սևան քաղաքի բնակիչ, 26-ամյա Մխիթար Ալեքսանյանի վարած Վազ 2101 մակնիշի 34 ԼՍ 592 համարանիշի, Երևան քաղաքի Վերին Շենգավիթ 1-ին փողոցի բնակիչ, 38-ամյա Սարգիս Հարությունյանի վարած Mercedes մակնիշի 16 ՍԼ 868 համարանիշի, Երևան քաղաքի Տիգրան Մեծ պողոտայի բնակիչ, 27-ամյա Տիգրան Կարապետյանի վարած Mercedes մակնիշի 34 ԼN 083 համարանիշի և Սևան քաղաքի Իսակովի փողոցի բնակիչ, 35-ամյա Կարեն Ավետիսյանի վարած Ford Transit մակնիշի 86 NN 006 համարանիշի ավտոմեքենաները։
Ինչպես հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, վթարի հետևանքով Մ. Ալեքսանյանն ու նրա ուղևոր՝ 31-ամյա Լիանա Սահակյանը և վարորդներից Տ. Կարապետյանն ու նրա ուղևոր՝ Ուկրաինայի քաղաքացի, ժամանակավորապես Երևան քաղաքի «Գլենդել Հիլզ» թաղամասում բնակվող, 21-ամյա Վերա Նաումչուկը մարմնական վնասվածքներով տեղափոխվել են Հրազդանի բժշկական կենտրոն։
Վիրավորներին առաջինը օգնության են հասել քաղաքացիները՝ Ճանապարհային ոստիկանության 2-րդ սպայական գումարտակի 3-րդ վաշտի 2-րդ դասակի աշխատակիցները՝ վաշտի հրամանատար Արթուր Պետրոսյանի, դասակի հրամանատար Կարեն Ներսիսյանի գլխավորությամբ։ Վիրավորներից երկուսին հիվանդանոց է տեղափոխել վաշտի հրամանատար Ա. Պետրոսյանը, իսկ վիրավորներից հղի կնոջն էլ՝ նույն վաշտի տեսուչ Աշոտ Կոստանյանը։
Հիվանդանոցից ֆոտոլրագրողին հայտնել են, որ եթե ՃՈ աշխատակիցը օպերատիվորեն հղի վիրավորին չհասցներ հիվանդանոց, չէր բացառվում, որ տուժածը խնդիրներ ունենար։ Բարեբախտաբար, նաև բժիշկների ճիշտ և օպերատիվ գործողությունների արդյունքում հնարավոր է եղել փրկել հղի կնոջ կյանքը և նա աղջիկ է լույս աշխարհ բերել։ Դեպքի վայր են ժամանել նաև Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Կոտայքի մարզային քննչական վարչության քննիչները։
