ԱՄՆ օդուժի ազգային գվարդիականները մարդասիրական առաքելությամբ Հայաստանում են: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանատան լրատվական ծառայությունից, Կանզաս նահանգի օդուժի ազգային գվարդիայի 184-րդ բժշկական անձնակազմի մոտ 40 բուժաշխատողներից կազմված խումբը (բժիշկներ, բուժքուրեր, բուժակներ և տեխնիկական անձնակազմ), Հայաստան է ժամանել երկշաբաթյա մարդասիրական առաքելությամբ: Նրանց են միացել նաև երեք ռազմական բժիշկներ Բրիտանական բանակի 6-րդ Rifles գումարտակից: Խումբն աշխատում է Հրազդանի ու Գավառի բժշկական կենտրոնների իրենց գործընկերների հետ՝ օգնելով ու վերջիններիս հետ կիսելով իրենց փորձը:
«Այս ծրագիրը ոչ միայն հմուտ մասնագիտական օգնություն է ապահովում հիվանդանոցներին որակյալ բուժօգնություն իրականացնելու համար, այլ նաև արժեքավոր ուսուցողական նշանակություն ունի ամերիկացի ու բրիտանացի բժիշկների համար: Ամերիկացի կամավորները կարողանում են փորձ ձեռք բերել այնպիսի հիվանդությունների ու իրավիճակների հետ կապված, որոնք գուցե տարածված չեն ԱՄՆ-ում, իսկ աշխատելով հայ բժիշկների ու բուժքույրերի հետ՝ նրանք վարժվում են բազմամշակութային պայմաններում աշխատելուն, ինչը շատ արժեքավոր հմտություն է մի այնպիսի զորամիավորման համ ար, որը պատրաստ է առաքելություն իրականացնել աշխարհի ցանկացած վայրում ցանկացած պահի», - ասել է Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսը:
Օգնելուց ու խորհրդատվություն ապահովելուց բացի, ամերիկացի ու բրիտանացի մասնագետները նաև ուսուցումներ են անցկացնում հիվանդանոցի անձնակազմի համար հետևյալ թեմաներով` սրտանոթային վերակենդանացում, մասնագիտացված սիրտ-թոքային վերակենդանացում, տրավմաների, այրվածքների բուժում, ինֆեկցիաների վերահսկման ընթացակարգեր: Նրանք նաև այցելում են տեղական մանկատներ, որտեղ սննդակարգի հետ կապված խորհրդատվություն են ապահովում, ատամնաբուժական ծառայություններ են մատուցում և առողջ կենսակերպի վերաբերյալ դասեր են անցկացնում:
Այսօրինակ առաքելություն Հայաստանում իրականացվում է առաջին անգամ: Այն կազմակերպվել է ԱՄՆ Եվրոպական հրամանատարության Մարդասիրական ու քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնությունների ծրագրի ու Հայաստան-Կանզաս գործընկերության ծրագրի շրջանակում:
