Մերձավոր Արեւելքի ապագան որոշելու են այն ժողովուրդները, որոնք պայքարում են ահաբեկչության դեմ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, օգոստոսի 4-ին հայտարարել Է Սիրիայի նախագահ Բաշար Ասադը՝ ելույթ ունենալով Իրանի մեջլիսի (խորհրդարանի) ազգային անվտանգության եւ արտաքին քաղաքականության հարցերի հանձնաժողովի ղեկավար Ալաեդդին Բորուջերդիի հետ հանդիպմանը, որը կայացել Է Դամասկոսում: Զրույցից քաղվածքները հրապարակվել են Սիրիայի նախագահի դիվանատան կյքում:
«Մերձավորարեւելյան տարածաշրջանի ապագան որոշելու են այն ժողովուրդները, որոնք զոհողությունների են գնում ահաբեկչությանը դիմակայելիս, կանգնած են ի պաշտպանություն իրենց հայրենիքի եւ հանդես են գալիս իրենց երկրների որոշումների անկախության օգտին»,-նշել Է Սիրիայի նախագահը:
Զրուցակիցները նշել են «առանձին երկրների համառությունը ծայրահեղականներին աջակցելու ոչ խելամիտ քաղաքականությունը շարունակելու հարցում, ինչը միայն նպաստում Է ահաբեկչության տարածմանը»:
Իր կողմից իրանցի խորհրդարանականը կարծիք Է հայտնել, որ (ահաբեկիչների դեմ) սիրիական բանակի գործողությունները փաստորեն կանխել են ամբողջ տարածաշրջանի քարտեզը վերաձեւելու հնարավորությունը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
