Դեպքը տեղի է ունեցել Ջեների տնից ոչ հեռու: Նշվում է, որ ավտովթարի մեղավորությունը մեկ այլ մասնակցինն է` Toyota Prius ավտոմեքենայի վարորդինը: Ըստ նախնական տեղեկությունների՝ նա է խախտել ճանապարհային երթևեկության կանոնները` անցնելով կարմիր լույսի տակով, ինչն էլ հանգեցրել է վթարի:

Rolls Royce-ի առաջամասը լուրջ վնասվել է: Տուժել է նաև Քրիս Ջեները: Լուրջ վնասվածքներից նրան փրկել են անվտանգության բարձիկները:
