Ինչ են ցանկանում վերջին անգամ համտեսել մահապատժի դատապարտվածները

«Ի՞նչ կցանկանայիք ուտել» հարցն այս մարդկանց համար հատուկ իմաստ ունի, չէ՞ որ դա նրանց կյանքի վերջին ընթրիքն է. հայտնում է Russia Today-ը՝ անդրադառնալով ԱՄՆ-ում բացված՝ մահապատժի դատապարտվածների վերջին «սննդային» ցանկությունների մասին պատմող «Վերջին ընթրիքը» ցուցադրությանը։

ԱՄՆ Օրեգոն նահանգի համալսարանի պրոֆեսոր Ջուլի Գրինը պարզել է մահապատժի դատապարտվածների վերջին «սննդային» ցանկությունները և նկարել դրանք սովորական կերամիկական ափսեների վրա։ 500 նկարի համար նյութեր նա հավաքել է 10 տարի։

Պարզվել է, որ մահվան դատապարտվածները մինչ պատժի իրականացումը ցանկանում են սառույցով ջուր, ծխախոտ, կամ իրենց մորը թույլ տալ լինել բանտային խոհանոցում և նրա պատրաստած կարկանդակներն ուտել։

Յուրաքանչյուր ափսեն Գրինի համար ուղղակի մթերքի հավաքածու չէ, այլ մահվան և ընտրության պատմություն։ Չէ՞ որ հենց այդ՝ վերջին պահին է կալանավորին տրվում ընտրության իրական իրավունք։ Ընտրությունը ոչինչ չի փոխի կամ որոշի, սակայն այն լավագույնս է բնորոշում տվյալ մարդուն՝ որպես անհատ։

Ափսեների մեծամասնության վրա պատկերված են տապակած կարտոֆիլով համբուրգերներ, բլիթներ, եփած կարտոֆիլ։ Սակայն որոշ կալանավորների ընտրությունը հասկանալի է միայն իրենց՝ 4 զեյթուն և գազավորված ըմպելիք, մարինացված վարունգ՝ սամիթով։

Գրինն իր քայլը բացատրում է հետևյալ կերպ. հանցագործները նույնպես մարդիկ են ՝ իրենց թուլություններով ու նախասիրություններով հանդերձ։
