Հայաստանում ԵՄ պատվիրակության գործերի ժամանակավոր հավատարմատար Անդրեա Խալուպովանօգոստոսի 2-ին Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանության քաղաքական և տնտեսական բաժնի ղեկավար Մեթյու Յուսենի հետ միասին հանդիպել է ՀՀ Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան - Human Rights Defender of Armenia Արման Թաթոյանի հետ:

Վկայակոչելով ՀՀ-ում ԵՄ պատվիրակության Ֆեյսբուքի էջը, զրուցակիցները քննարկել են վերջին օրերի զարգացումները` դատապարտելով ուժի կիրառումն ու բռնությունը, ընդգծելով, որ ցանկացած հակամարտություն անհրաժեշտ է լուծել միայն խաղաղ ճանապարհով: Տեսակետներ են փոխանակվել մարդու իրավունքների ոտնահարումների, հավաքների, արտահայտման ազատության և ատելության հրահրման վերաբերյալ:

Բարձրացվել է ոստիկանության կողմից չափից ավելի ուժի կիրառման և զանգվածային ձերբակալությունների, այդ թվում՝ ենթադրյալ բոլոր խախտումների վերաբերյալ արդյունավետ և թափանցիկ քննության անհրաժեշտության հարցը: Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանը ներկայացրել է մշտադիտարկման ուղղությամբ իր և իր աշխատակազմի անդամների գործունեությունը, այցելությունները կալանքի տակ գտնվող անձանց և անհատական գործերին հետևելը: Նա տեղեկացրել է, որ իր գրասենյակը փաստաթղթեր է ներկայացրել ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազին ենթադրյալ խախտումների, ինչպես նաև լրագրողների նկատմամբ կա տարված բռնությունների դեպքերի վերաբերյալ քրեական գործեր հարուցելու հետ կապված:
