Ազատության հրապարակում «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» կուսակցության նախագահ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը լրագրողների հետ զրույցում քննադատեց այն մարդկանց, որոնք երեկ հարթակի վրա էին ու ժողովրդին տարան իր խոսքերով՝ կոկորդիլոսի բերանը: Նա ասաց, որ եղել է երեկ հիվանդանոցներում. «Սարսափելի պատկերների ականատեսը դարձանք: Մեր քաղաքական համոզմունքն ու հավատամքը նույնը՝ դատապարտում ենք բռնության ցանկացած դրսեւորում, առավել եւս՝ ոստիկանության կողմից: Մարտի 1 է լինում ամեն անգամ, դասեր չենք քաղում: Ինչքանով էր պատշաճ ոստիկանության գործողությունները երեկ, ԱԱԾ-ի այսօրվա հայտարարությունը: Սա նշանակում է, որ իրենք ազդակ են ուղարկում հասարակությանը, որ մենք ընդհանրապես չենք լսում, թե դուք ինչ եք ասում, մարդիկ հաշիվ չեն տալիս իրենց, թե ինչ վիճակ է ստեղծվել երկրում: Ովքե՞ր էին այդ քաղաքացիական հագուստով մարդիկ: Որքանով են իրականությանը համապատասխանում այ տեղեկությունները, որ օլիգարխների թիկնապահներ են եղել կամ ինչ-որ խմբեր: Պետք է այս հարցերի պատասխանները հնչեր»: Նրա խոսքերով՝ խելամիտ չէ ամեն անգամ ձեռքը տանել կոկորդիլոսի բերանը, հետո ասել, վա՜յ, կոկորդիլոսը կծեց. «ՀՀ-ում հաստատված է բիրտ, ապօրինի իշխանություն, որը կարող է համեմատվել կոկորդիլոսի հետ: Մենք դատապարտում ենք այն ուժերին, որոնք իրենց համարում են ընդդիմություն, ժողովրդին բռնում տանում են կոկորդիոսի բերանը, հետո ասում են՝ վայ, կոկորդիլոսը կծեց»: Նա հայտարարեց, որ վերջին օրերին Ազատության հրապարակի հարթակից չէին հասկանում ինչ էին խոսում, իսկ եթե հասկանում էին՝ ավելի մեծ պրոբլեմ է. «Պետք է հասկանաք, թե որտեղից է գալիս պատճառն ու հետեւանքը: Այն, ինչ երեկ տեղի ունեցավ, ձեռնտու էր միայն Սերժ Սարգսյանին, որովհետեւ նա հասկացավ՝ այս պայքարի մեջ ժողովրդի եւ ոստիկանության դաշինք տեղի չի ունենա»:
