«Երեկ ուշ գիշերը Սարի թաղում ոստիկանության իրականացրած օպերացիայի ժամանակ տուժել են նաև լրագրողներ։ Նրանց վրա տեղի է ունեցել ակնհայտ նպատակաուղղված հարձակում։ Հարձակվողները եղել են քաղաքացիական հագուստով անձինք։
Ենթադրաբար դրանք կամ ոստիկաններ էին, կամ թաղային հեղինակությունների թիկնապահներ։ Վերջիններս գործել են ոստիկանության հետ համակարգված։ Լրագրողների ցույց տված փաստաթղթերն անգամ և գգուշացումները, որ իրենք լրագրող են, արդյունք չեն տվել։ Վերջին տվյալներով հարձակման են ենթարկվել«Ազատություն», «Ա1+»,«ՀԺ», «Արմենիա», Life, ռուսական լրատվամիջոցների թղթակիցները։ Ոմանք ստացել են մարմնական վնասվածքներ, այդ թվում Life-ի և «Հայկական ժամանակի» թղթակիցները։ Լրագրողներից մի քանիսին ծեծել են մահակներով և բռունցքներով, մի քանիսը հարձակման ժամանակ վնասվածք են ստացել հատուկ միջոցից։ Վնասվել է մի քանի լրատվամիջոցների տեխնիկան։ ՀՀ ոստիկանության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչության պետ Աշոտ Ահարոնյանը հայտարարել է, թե լրագրողների նկատմամբ հարձակումները կհետաքննվեն, բայց փորձը ցույց Է տա|իս, որ դրանք մնում են անպատիժ»,–գրում է թերթը։
