«Կանանց ճնշող մեծամասնությունը սխալ կարծիք ունի այն մասին, թե ինչ է պետք տղամարդուն,- ասում է Տրեյսին:- Նրանք կարծում են, որ ուժեղ սեռը կնոջ մեջ գնահատում է երիտասարդությունը, արտաքին տեսքը, ինքնավստահությունը, խելքը և կատարյալ մարմինը: Իսկ իրականում, եթե կազմենք տղամարդկանց’ կնոջ մեջ գրավող հատկանիշների տասնյակը, այդ դեպքում այն նշված հատկանիշներն այդ խումբ չեն մտնի»:

Իսկ ո՞ր հատկանիշներն են այդ ցուցակում: Տրեյսիյի կարծիքով ՝ «բարետեսությունը» (ոչ թե սեքսուալությունը), բարությունը, լսելու ունակությունը, վստահություն ներշնչելը, տղամարդու կատակների վրա ծիծաղելու ունակությունը: Եթե տղամարդը իրեն կին է ընտրում երկարաժամկետ հարաբերություններ հաստատելու նպատակով, ապա նրա համար կարևոր է, որ ընտրյալը թույլ տա հոգ տանել իր մասին, լինի թույլ և տղամարդուց կախված, այլ ոչ թե ուժեղ և ինքնուրույն:
