Բաքվում Եվրոպական խաղերի ավարտից հետո Ադրբեջանը կրկին ապակայունացնում է իրավիճակը եւ սրացնում լարվածությունը թե՛ հայ-ադրբեջանական, թե՛ արցախա-ադրբեջանական սահմանին: «Այս տարվա սկզբին նույն լարվածությունը շարունակվում էր նույն կերպ, ինչպես նախորդ տարի օգոստոսին: Այն թուլացավ Եվրոպական առաջին խաղերի իրականացման ժամանակահատվածում: Խաղերից հետո ակնկալո ւմ էինք, որ սրացումներ կլինեն: Այս տարի հակառակորդը փորձում էր հեռահար տարբեր տրամաչափի ականանետերից կրակել: Կրակում են՝ 60, 80, 120 մմ տրամաչափի ականանետերից»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ' օգոստոսի 21-ին «Բազե» երիտասարդական հավաքի մասնակիցների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ նշեց ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը' հավելելով, որ հայկական կողմը պատասխանում է միայն դիպուկահարների կրակոցներին եւ արժանի հակահարված տալիս հակառակորդի արկածախնդրություններին:
Նախարարը շեշտեց, թե խորապես համոզված է, որ Ադրբեջանի տարածքային ամբողջությունը որեւէ առնչություն չունի Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հետ:
«Մեկ անգամ գտնվել ենք պարտադրանքի իրավիճակում և դրանից պատերազմը հաղթանակած ենք լուծել: Եթե անհրաժեշտություն լինի, հայկական զինված ուժերը կրկին բարձր մակարդակով կպաշտպանեն Հայրենիքի սահմանների անվտանգությունը»:
