ԱՄՆ-ն ու Հարավային Կորեան վերսկսել են համատեղ զորավարժությունները

ԱՄՆ-ն ու Հարավային Կորեան՝ երկկողմանի խորհրդակցություններ անցկացնելուց հետո վերսկսել են համատեղ զորավարժությունները Կորեական թերակղզու շրջանում: Այս մասին լրագրողներին ճեպազրույցի ժամանակ հայտնել է ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության նախարարի օգնական Դեւիդ Շերը:

Նրա խոսքերով զորավարժությունների դադարեցումը պայմանավորված է եղել ԱՄՆ-ի ու Հարավային Կորեայի միջեւ բանակցություններով, որոնք նվիրված էին Հարավային Կորեայի ու ԿԺԴՀ միջեւ «ապառազմական գոտում տեղի ունեցած փոխհրաձգությունների հարցին»:

Զորավարժությունները սկսվել էին օգոստոսի 17-ին ու պետք է շարունակվեին մինչեւ օգոստոսի 28-ը: Դրանց մասնակցում է 50 հազար հարավկորեական ու 3 հազար ամերիկյան զինծառայող:

Զորավարժությունները անցնում էին ԿԺԴՀ կողմից սպառնալիքների ու դժգոհության ֆոնին, քանի որ ԿԺԴՀ –ն համարում է, որ տվյալ զորավարժությունները «շատ քիչ են տարբերվում պատերազմ հայտարարելուց»: Փհենյանը նաեւ սպառնացել է ԱՄՆ –ի դեմ կիրառել ժամանակակից, աշխարհին անհայտ զենք, եթե նա չհրաժարվի զորավարժությունների անցկացումից, հայտնում է Ինտերֆաքսը:

Օգոստոսի 20-ին Հյուսիսային ու Հարավային Կորեան փոխանակել են հրետանային համազարկեր: Առաջինը կրակ են բացել հյուսիսկորեական զինվորականները: Հրետանակոծություններից հետո Պխենյանը Սեուլին վերջնագիր է ներկայացրել՝ պահանջելով 48 ժամվա ընթացքում՝ մինչեւ օգոստոսի 22-ի ժամը 17-ը ապամոնտաժել այն դինամիկները, որոնցով հարավկորեացիները վերջերս վերսկսել էին հյուսիսկորեական զինվորականներին ուղղված քարոզչությունը:

Երկու երկրներն էլ իրենց բանակներին բերել են բարձր մարտունակության վիճակի:
