Հաճախ միեւնույն ֆիլմում ռեժիսորը մեզ հնարավորություն է տալիս մեկ անգամից ավել վայելելու տվյալ դերասանի խաղը: Խոսքը այն ֆիլմերի մասին է, որտեղ դերասանները ներկայանում են, միանգամից, երկու կամ երեք դերերով:
Պարզ է, որ տվյալ դեպքում նրանք մարմնավորում են կամ երկվորյակների կամ էլ նմանակների:
Հաճախ ֆիլմերում երկրվորյակ քույրերին եւ եղբայրներին մարմնավորում են հենց իրական երկվորյակները, ինչպիսիք են, օրինակ, Մերի-Քեյթ եւ Էշլի Օլսենները: Սակայն լինում են նաեւ դեպքեր, երբ նման պարտականություն ռեժիսորը դնում է մեկ դերասանի վրա:
