Վրաստանի վարչապետ Գեորգի Կվիրիկաշվիլին Խոնիի բնակչությանը ներկայացրել է Վանիի և Խոնիի միացյալ վարչաշրջանի մեծամասնական պատգամավոր Գրիգոլ Լիլուաշվիլուն և հայտարարել է, որ հանձին նրա՝ Խոնին և Վանին ձեռք կբերեն իսկական ընկեր: Նրա խոսքով` նա չափազանց ուշադիր մարդ է, որը սրտին մոտ կընդունի այդ շրջանի յուրաքանչյուր բնակչի խնդիրները, և խորհրդարանում կլինի նրանց ձայնը, հայտնում է apsny.ge-ն:
«Մենք պետք է Վրաստանին վերադարձնենք քարտեզի վրա արժանի տեղը, այն վաստակած հարգանքը, ինչին նա իրոք արժանի է: Վրաստանը կրկին պետք է դառնա խոշոր երկիր, չնայած այն բանին, որ մենք փոքր ժողովուրդ ենք: «Վրացական երազանքի» իշխանությունը պատրաստ է դրան»,- նշել է Կվիրիկաշվիլին:
«Մենք առաջարկում ենք հասարակությունը չբաժանել: Առաջարկում ենք միավորվել, բոլորին միասին ուս ուսի տված կառուցել ավելի լավ երկիր, ավելի լավ հայրենիք, ավելի լավ Վրաստան»,- ավելացրել է նա:
