Հայաստանի ԱԳ նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը hուլիսի 21-ին ընդունել է ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամ Ջիմ Կոստային: Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել է հայ-ամերիկյան փոխգործակցության ընդլայնմանն առնչվող հարցերի լայն շրջանակ: Այս մասին«Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, որի հաղորդագրության մեջ նշված է. «Ողջունելով հյուրին՝ նախարար Նալբանդյանը բարձր գնահատեց հայ-ամերիկյան բարեկամական գործընկերությունը, այն զարգացնելու ուղղությամբ համատեղ ձեռնարկվող ջանքերը։ Այդ առումով Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը կարևորեց երկու երկրների օրենսդիր մարմինների միջև հաստատված ակտիվ համագործակցությունը։ Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը երախտագիտություն հայտնեց Ջիմ Կոստային` Հայոց ցեղասպան ության ճանաչման ուղղությամբ ջանքերի համար։

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով հյուրընկալության համար՝ կոնգրեսմեն Կոստան նշեց, որ, տարիներ ի վեր ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսում հետամուտ լինելով Հայաստանի և հայ ժողովրդի համար կարևոր նշանակություն ունեցող հարցերին, ուրախ է Հայաստան այցելելու և առաջին ձեռքից տեղեկատվություն ստանալու և տարածաշրջանային խնդիրների ու դրանց լուծման ուղիների շուրջ մտքեր փոխանակելու հնարավորության համար։

Հանդիպմանը քննարկվեց հայ-ամերիկյան փոխգործակցության ընդլայնմանն առնչվող հարցերի լայն շրջանակ:

Նախարար Նալբանդյանն ու կոնգրեսական Կոստան մտքեր փոխանակեցին տարածաշրջանային խնդիրների շուրջ:

Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը Ջիմ Կոստային ներկայացրեց ղարաբաղյան հիմնահարցի կարգավորման, ս.թ. ապրիլին Արցախի դեմ Ադրբեջանի սաձազերծած լայնածավալ ռազմական գործողությունների հետևանքների հաղթահարման ուղղությամբ գործադրվող ջանքերը:

Ջիմ Կոստան նշեց, որ ԱՄՆ-ն` որպես ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ երկիր, շարունակելու է ջանքերը` ուղղված հիմնահարցի բացառապես բանակցային ճանապարհով լուծմանը:
