Թուրքիայի հարավում գտնվող ավիաբազայում էլեկտրականության մատակարարման դադարեցումը օգուտ չի տա Անկարային ու Վաշինգթոնին, եթե շարունակվի: Այս մասին հայտնել է Թուրքիայում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ջոն Բասսը, փոխանցում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստին»:
«Այս միջոցառումը պայմանավորված էր հեղաշրջման չհաջողված փորձով: Բայց որքան երկար տեւի այս իրավիճակը, այդքան շատ այն կազդի ԻՊ դեմ գործողության ընթացքի վրա: Դա չի օգնի Թուրքիային ԱՄՆ-ին ու մյուս երկրներին, որոնք տառապում են ահաբեկիչների գործողություններից: Մենք լի ենք Թուրքիային ահաբեկիչների հետագա հարձակումններից պաշտպանելու վճռականությամբ: Գործողությունները, որոնք իրականացվում էին Ինջիրլիք բազայից, դրա կարեւոր մասն են»,- հայտնել է Բասսը Ստամբուլում լրագրողներին, նրան մեջբերում է Anadolu գործակալությունը:
Ամերիկյան դիվանագետը հայտնել է նաեւ որ աջակցում են «օրենքի շրջանակում Թուրքիայի կառավարության ձեռնարկած ջանքերին, որոնք ուղղված են նրան, որ հեղաշրջման փորձ կատարած հանցագործները կանգնեն արդարադատության առաջ»
