Թուրքիայի իշխանությունները ապստամբության հետաքննության ընթացքում պարտավոր են պահպանել ժողովրդավարական սկզբունքները, վստահ է Գերմանիայի նախագահ Յոահիմ Գաուկը:

Թուրքիայի ղեկավարությունը հուլիսի 15-ին հայտարարել էր երկրում ռազմական հեղաշրջման փորձի մասին: Զինվորականներնն էլ իրենց կողմից հայտարարել էին, որ իշխանությունն անցել է իրենց ձեռքը: Հաջորդ առավոտյան ապստամբ զինվորականները սկսեցին հանձնվել: Թուրքիայի իշխանությունները հայտարարեցին, որ հեղաշրջման փորձը ձախողվել է, փոխանցում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստին»:

«Թուրքիայի կառավարությունը իրադարձությունների վերլուծության գործում պետք է պահպանի իրավական ու ժողովրդավարական սկզբունքները: Հակառակ դեպքում կվնասի Թուրքիայում ժողովրդավարությանը: Հատկապես քանի որ Թուրքիան հավակնում է անդամակցել ԵՄ-ին, հիմա նշանակություն պետք է ունենա միայն այն, որ իրեն ժողովրդավարական համարող ու ԵՄ անդամ դառնալու ցանկություն ունեցող երկիրը բանտ չի նստեցնում քննադատական հայացքներով լրագրողերին, կարճ ժամանակում աշխատանքից չի հեռացնում հազարավոր դատավորների ու չի քննարկում մահապատիժը վերականգնելու հնարավորությունը»,- հայտարարել է Գաուկը Bild տաբլորիդին տված հարցազրույցում:

Նախագահի խոսքով, հիմա Թուրքիայում մեծ խնդիրներ կան:

«Նույնիսկ հիմա, երբ մենք ապրում ենք սպառնալիքնների անհանգիստ ժամանակներում, Թուրքիան պետք է հարգի ընդհանուր կանոնները՝ նաեւ որովհետեւ ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ է ու բանակցում է ԵՄ-ին անդամակցելու համար: Ինպես արդեն ասացի, մեր՝ եվրոպացիներիս համար, ժողովրդավարությունը ու պետության իրավական հիմքերը հարցեր են, որոնք քննարկմանն ենթակա չեն: Կառավարության ավտորիտար ոճն այստեղ տեղ չունի»,- հավելել է Գաուկը:
