«Հուլիսի 17-ին սկիզբ առած դեպքերը կրկին լակմուսի դեր խաղացին։ Բայց եթե ստիպված ենք արձանագրել, որ իշխանությունը դեռ կոպիտ սխալներ թույլ չի տվել բանակցությունների ընթացքում և մեծ հաշվով հանդուրժողական կեցվածք է դրսևորել, ապա չենք կարող ասել, որ մեր ընդդիմությունը լավագույնս դրսևորվեց այս փուլում։ Թերևս հատուկենտ բացառությունները չհաշված (Նիկոլ Փաշինյան, Թևան Պոդոսյան և այլք), մյուսները կարծես ընդհատակ են անցել։ Հասկանալի է, որ կատարվածի մեջ հանցակազմ կա, և «Սասնա ծռերի» գործողությունը դժվար է քաղաքական անվանել, ուստի այն սատարելու մասին չէ խոսքը։ Այլ՝ երկրի համար բարդ, ճակատագրական պահին կազմ-պատրաստ լինելու, իրավիճակի լուծման բեռն ուրիշների վրա չթողնելու, վերջապես՝ ժողովրդի կողքին լինելու, եթե անգամ այդ ժողովուրդն ապստամբ է, մոլորված, կտրուկ և անիմաստ քայլերի պատրաստ։

էլ ի՞նչ քաղաքական գործիչ, եթե այս օրերին համակարգչի ետևում թաքնված հետևում է, թե ինչպես են մարդիկ անկազմակերպ երթեր անում, ինչպես են պատանդների ու պատանդողների հարազատները փողոցում գիշերում, ինչպես են բանակցությունները փակուղի մտնում։ Պարտադիր չէ «բարիկադների» այս կամ այն կողմում կանգնել, Հարկավոր է կանգնել մարդկանց կողքին, առաջարկել սեփական ծառայությունները, կրծքով փակել հրազենի ճանապարհը, եթե օդում առկա է դրա կրակելու վտանգը։ Եվ եթե իշխանական թևի պահվածքը կարելի է ինչ-որ կերպ հասկանալ՝ վերին ատյաններից հրահանգված է լռել ու մեյդանում չերևալ, ապա իրեն ընդդիմություն հորջորջող մարդկանց բացակայությունն աննախադեպ է, քաղաքական ուժերին ոչ բնորոշ և մերժելի։ Երբ քաղաքական գործիչը հասարակությանը մենակ է թողնում իր հոգս ու ցավի հետ, նա իրավունք չունի հետագայում նրանից քվե խնդրելու»,–գրում է թերթը։
