«Առավոտ» թերթը գրում է. «Ես հիմա գրում եմ այս հոդվածը, որը դուք կկարդաք վաղն առավոտյան, բայց այս պահին դեռ պարզ չէ՝ իշխանությունը գրոհ կկազմակերպի՝ ՊՊԾ տարածքը գրաված զինված խմբի վրա։ Շատ-շատ եմ ուզում, որ դա տեղի չունենա։ Նախ՝ որովհետեւ ոչ մի ներքաղաքական խնդիր չարժե թափված մի կաթիլ արյան, երկրորդ՝ որովհետեւ դրանով իշխանությունը ոչ մի խնդիր չի լուծի, միայն կխորացնի արմատական տրամադրություններն ու անհանդուրժողականությունը մեր հասարակության մեջ։

Իսկ դրանց աստիճանն այս պահին շատ բարձր է։ Կողմերին հաշտեցնելը, շփման կետեր գտնելը որը, կարծում եմ, մտավորականների առաքելություններից մեկն է, շատ դժվար է։ Եթե հանկարծ «սխալվես» եւ ասես, որ ոստիկանության շենքի վրա զինված հարձակումը, պատանդ պահելը, մանավանդ՝ ոստիկան սպանելը, ապօրինության է եւ փակուղի, անմիջապես «վրա կտան» հեղափոխականները եւ քեզ վրա կախելով զանազան պիտակներ՝ կհիշեցնեն 25 տարվա ընթացքում այս երկրում տեղի ունեցած բոլոր ապօրինությունները։ Բայց եթե ասես, որ զինված խմբի տղաները ահաբեկիչներ չեն, նրանք մեր քաղաքացիներն են, որոնց մտահոգությունները պետք է լսել ու հասկանալ, հակառակ կողմը կասի, որ մենք «հարթակ ենք տրամադրում հանցագործներին»:

Միեւնույն է՝ պետք չէ հիասթափվել, պետք չէ ձեռքը թափ տալ եւ ասել՝ «կերեք իրար»։ Ոչ, դա ամենասխալ դիրքորոշումն է։ Եվ պետք էլ չի նեղվել, երբ երկու կողմերը քեզ չեն հասկանում։ Խնդիրը ոչ թե որեւէ մեկին, նաեւ՝ «ժողովրդին» դուր գալն է, խնդիրը երկու կողմերին խելահեղություններից, անիմաստ բռնություններից հետ պահելն է։ Իմ ընկալմամբ, օրինակ, փողոցում մարդկանց, առանց որեւէ պատճառի, զանգվածաբար բռնելն ու ոստիկանություն տանելը ոչ միայն ապօրինություն է, այլեւ խելահեղություն, հիմարություն՝ դա դարձյալ որեւէ խնդիր չի լուծում, միայն սրում է իրավիճակը»:
