Վիճակագրական տվյալների համաձայն՝ Երևանում հաշվառված է շուրջ 20000 գլուխ գյուղատնտեսական կենդանի: 2016թ. հունվարի 1-ի դրությամբ գյուղատնտեսական կենդանիների ամենամյա համատարած հաշվառումն անցկացվել է հանրապետության բոլոր տնտեսություններում տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմինների կողմից (ՀՀ մարզպետարանների և ՀՀ գյուղատնտեսության նախարարության հետ համատեղ):

Գյուղատնտեսությամբ զբաղվող առևտրային կազմակերպությունների ցուցանիշները հավաքագրվել են վիճակագրական հաշվետվությունների միջոցով:

Համաձայն հրապարակված տվյալների՝ հանրապետությունում առկա խոշոր եղջերավորների քանակը տարվա սկզբին կազմել է 701 535: Նույն ժամանակահատվածում առկա է եղել 174 776 խոզ, 778069 ոչխար և այծ և 11 402 ձի: Միայն Երևանում հաշվառված է 1224 կով, 11813 խոզ, 5501 ոչխար, 7 ձի, իսկ մարզային ցուցանիշներով առավել բարձր ցուցանիշ ունի Գեղարքունիքի մարզը:

Ստուգաճշտմամբ ստացված տվյալներով ճշգրտվել են համատարած հաշվառման արդյունքները, որի համաձայն՝ հանրապետությունում խոշոր եղջերավոր կենդանիների գլխաքանակն ավելացել է 1.2 %-ով, կովերինը`1.0 %-ով, ոչխարներինը և այծերինը`2.0 %-ո
