Սակայն, ըստ մի ուսումնասիրության, երբ հերթը գալիս է կնոջը երջանկացնելուն, բարձրահասակ ամուսին ունենալը կարող է լինել գլխավոր պայմանը:
Հետազոտողները պարզել են, որ ինչքան մեծ է զույգի միջև հասակների տարբերությունը, այնքան կինը երջանիկ է, սակայն այս ազդեցությունը կարծես թե տարիների ընթացքում վերանում էր:
«Չնայած հայտնի է, որ կանայք էվոլյուցիոն պատճառներով զույգավորվելու համար նախընտրում են բարձրահասակ տղամարդկանց, սակայն ոչ մի ուսումնասիրություն չի հետազոտել, թե արդյոք ավելի բարձրահասակ ամուսինը երջանկացնում են կանանց,» - ասում Սեուլի Էկոնկուկի համալսարանի հետազոտող Կիտա Սոնը:
«Զույգի մեջ հասակների ավելի մեծ տարբերությունը դրական ազդեցություն ուներ կնոջ երջանկության վրա:» Նա ավելացնում է, որ հասակի և երջանկության միջև կապը գնալով թուլանում էր ժամանակի ընթացքում և ամբողջովին վերանում 18 տարի ամուսնությունից հետո:
«Այնուամենայնիվ, այդ ազդեցության այդքան երկար ժամանակամիջոցում վերանալը ցույց է տալիս տղամարդու բարձրահասակ լինելու հզոր ազդեցությունը էվոլյուցիայով պայմանավորված կանանց հոգեբանության վրա:»- ասում է նա:
Դոկտոր Սոնը, ով հետազոտություն է անցկացրել 7850 կանանց մոտ, ասաց, որ կարող են բազմաթիվ պատճառներ լինել, թե ինչու է բարձրահասակ տղամարդը կապված կնոջ ավելի երջանիկ լինելու հետ:
«Մեկը հասակի ներքին արժևորումն է, այսինքն, կանայք ուղղակի հավանում են բարձրահասակ տղամարդկանց առանց պատճառի, » - գրում է նա իր ուսումնասիրության մեջ:
«Սա շատ նման է այն փաստին, որ որոշները հավանում են յուղոտ, աղի, կամ քաղցր ուտելիքը առանց որևէ պատճառի: Այդպիսի ուտելիքները կարևոր դեր ունեն գոյատևման համար, սակայն շատ սակավ էին մարդկության զարգացման ընթացքում, հետևաբար, այդպիսի ուտելիքի կարիքը անցյալում նպաստել է վերարտադրողական առողջությանը:»
«Նույն կերպ կանանց՝ բարձրահասակ տղամարդկանց նախընտրություն տալը նպաստել է կանանց վերարտադրողական առողջությանը:»
Սոնը առաջարկում է տարբեր սցենարներ, թե ինչու է հասակի դերը ժամանակի ընթացքում նվազում: Օրինակ, կնոջ համար կարող է սովորական դառնալ իր ամուսնու հասակը և դրա հետ կապված ֆիզիկական գրավչությունը և ուժին:
Կամ կինը կարող է կորցնել իր այն հատկությունները, որոնք պատճառ էին դարձել հենց բարձրահասակ ամուսին ընտրելուն, ինչպես օրինակ գեղեցկությունը. գեղեցկության կորուստը կարող է նրան ուղղակիորեն կամ անուղղակիորեն դժբախտացնել՝ փոխելով իր ամուսնու վերաբերմունքը, ինչպես օրինակ քիչ ուշադրություն տրամադրելը, այլ կանանց նկատմամբ համակրանքը, և երեխաների մասին քիչ հոգ տանելը:
Կանայք դարեր շարունակ նախապատվություն են տվել բարձրահասակ տղամարդկանց, քանի որ նրանք համարվում էին ավելի ուժեղ:
Բայց այլ ցանկալի իրերի համար, դա ունենալու հաճույքը վերանում է: Եվ հետաքրքիրն այն է, որ ամբողջովին վերացման համար անհրաժեշտ է 18 տարի:
