Վաշինգտոնում քննարկվել են ԱՄՆ-ի և Վրաստանի ռազմաքաղաքական հարաբերությունները

Վաշինգտոնում կայացել Է Վրաստանի պաշտպանության նախարար Թինաթին Խիդաշելիի հանդիպումը ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղարի՝ Եվրոպայի եւ Եվրասիայի հարցերով օգնական Վիկտորյա Նուլանդի հետ, որի ընթացքում կողմերը քննարկել են ապագայի պլանները՝ երկու երկրների ռազմաքաղաքական հարաբերությունների տեսակետից: Բացի Նուլանդից, հանդիպմանը ներկա Է եղել նաեւ ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղարի՝ ռազմաքաղաքական հարցերով տեղակալ Փունիթ Թալվարը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով Sputnik-ին:
«Մեր գործընկերները պետք Է հուսան, որ ի դեմս Վրաստանի ունեն ոչ միայն հուսալի քաղաքական գործընկեր, որն ապահովված Է բնակչության աջակցությամբ, այլեւ Վրաստանը պետք Է դառնա այն երկիրը, որը պատասխանատվություն կստանձնի շատ ուղղություններով»,-հայտարարել Է պաշտպանության նախարարը:
ԱՄՆ-ի՝ որպես Վրաստանի հուսալի եւ ռազմավարական գործընկերոջ աջակցությունն ավելի ու ավելի Է ընդլայնվում, նշել Է Խիդաշվիլին: Բացի երկու երկրների ռազմաքաղաքական հարաբերություններից, հանդիպմանը կողմերը քննարկել են նաեւ Վրաստան-ՆԱՏՕ գոյություն ունեցող փաթեթի գերակա ուղղությունները եւ այն բարեփոխումները, որոնք պետք Է շարունակվեն պաշտպանության նախարարությունում:
Վրաստանի պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը պաշտոնական այցով Միացյալ Նահանգներ Է ուղեւորվել շաբաթ օրը՝ օգոստոսի 15-ին: ԱՄՆ-ում պլանավորված են Խիդաշելիի հանդիպումներն ամերիկացի իր պաշտոնակից Էշթոն Քարթերի հետ, ինչպես նաեւ հանդիպումներ Սպիտակ տանը, Պետդեպարտամենտում, ամերիկացի լրագրողների եւ ոչ կառավարական կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչների հետ: ԱՄՆ այցը կտեւի մինչեւ ընթացիկ շաբաթվա վերջը:
