Մեծ Բրիտանիան պետք է կարգավորի հարաբերությունները Ռուսաստանի հետ, եթե ուզում է ոչնչացնել «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորումը, գրում է The Independent–ը:
Հայտնի է, որ Վարշավայում ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագաթաժողովի նախօրեին պաշտպանության հարցերով խորհրդարանական հանձնաժողովը ներկայացրել է մի զեկույց, որում ասվում է, որ երկրների միջեւ հարաբերությունները «ամենացածր մակարդակում են»: Բացի դրանից փաստաթղթում նշված է Ռուսաստանի մասին գիտելիքների պակասը բրիտանացի պաշտոնյաների շրջանում , նաեւ Մոսկվայի հետ երկխոսության վերականգնման ու ԻՊ դեմ պայքարում համագործակցության անհրաժեշտությունը:
Հոդվածագիրը աջակցում է այս նախաձեռնությանը: Նրա կարծիքով երկկողմանի հարաբերությունների վատացման պատճառներից են դարձել բրիտանացի նախարարների կողմից Ռուսաստանի վերաբերյալ կանոնավոր քննադատությունները: Ընդ որում այս քննադատություններն իրականում զայրացնում են նաեւ շատ արեւմտաեվրոպական դիվանագետների, քանի որ ձախողում են Մոսկվայի հետ հավաքական երկխոսությունը, մասնավորապես Սիրիայի հարցում:
Տեսաբանը վստահ է, որ ԻՊ դեմ պայքարում անհրաժեշտ է ավելի շատ ջանքեր գործադրել Ռուսաստանի հետ համագործակցություն հարթելու համար, ու դա վերաբերում է ոչ միայն Մեծ Բրիտանիային, այլեւ ՆԱՏՕ-ի մյուս երկրներին: Տվյալ համատեքստում նշվում է նաեւ այն, որ Ստամբուլի օդանավակայանում պայթյունների կազմակերպիչները ծագումով նախկին խորհրդային հանրապետություններից էին:
Մոսկվայի ու Վաշինգթոնի միջեւ արդեն հարթվել է համագործակցություն՝ Սիրիայում օդային տարածքը համատեղ օգտագործելու հարցում, շարունակում է հեղինակը: Ակնկալվում է, որ ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերիի ու Ռուսաստանի արտգործնախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովի բանակցություններից հետո փոխգործակցությունը կտարածվի նաեւ այլ օպերատիվ հարցերի վրա:
Սակայն պարբերականն ընդունում է, որ դեռ անհայտ է,արդյոք նոր բրիտանական կառավարությունն ունակ կլինի հարաբերություններ հարթել Ռուսաստանի հետ: Միաանգամայն հավանական է, որ հիմնական ջանքերն ուղղված կլինեն ԵՄ կազմից երկրի դուրս գալու շուրջ բանակցություններին ու տնետսությունը փրկելուն, հայտնում է Gazeta–ն:
