Ներկայացնում ենք թերթի խմբագրականից մի հատված.
«Երթ 1978 թվականին ես ընդունվում էի կոնսերվատորիա, գրեթե բոլոր բաժիններում մրցույթ էր: Մասնավորապես, 10-ից ավելի դիմորդներ հավակնում էին վոկալիստների համար նախատեսված 5 տեղի համար: Ես այն ժամանակ մտածում էի՝ իսկ պե՞տք է արդյոք Հայաստանին տարեկան 5 երգիչ, շատ չի՞: «Ձարգացած սոցիալիզմի» դեպքում նման տրամաբանությունը գուցե ճիշտ էր, մարդիկ ընդունվում էին բուհ՝ մասնագիտություն ստանալու և «ժողովրդական տնտեսության» այս կամ այն «ճյուղում» աշխատելու նպատակով: Հիմա «մեզ այդքան երգիչ պետք չէ» արտահայտությունն իմաստ չունի, որովհետև ցանկացած մարդ, եթե քննություն է հանձնել, իրավունք ունի ստանալ իր ուզած կրթությունը, իսկ թե ինչ է նա անելու այդ կրթության հետ՝ դա արդեն իր անձնական գործն է: Հավանաբար, հենց այդ պատճառով հիմա կոնսերվատորիայի ամեն մի կուրսում սովորում է մի քանի տասնյակ երգիչ:
Նույնը՝ կուսակցությունները, թերթերը, կայքերը: Գրեթե ամեն օր կարելի է լսել, որ դրանք շատ են, որ մեզ այդքան պետք չէ, որ դրանց մեծ մասն անորակ է, որ մեր փոքր հանրապետությունում այդքան շատ չեն կարող լինել և այլն: Ի՞նչ է նշանակում՝ մեզ այդքան կայք պետք չի: Ու ինչ-որ մեկը ինչ-որ չափանիշներով պետք է դրանց քանակը սահմանավոակի՞: Ես չեմ հավատում որևէ մեկի չափանիշների անաչառությանը:
Վերապահում անեմ՝ խոսքը ոչ պետական կառույցների մասին է: Պետական հիմնարկների դեպքում, հակառակը՝ օպտիմալացմանն ուղղված հարցադրումները միանգամայն ճիշտ են: Մեր նման փոքր երկրին պետք չեն այդքան շատ նախարարություններ և կառավարման այլ հիմնարկներ, եղած հիմնարկներում պետք չեն այդքան շատ աշխատակիցներ: Հայաստանի նման երկրում ուետք չի 131 պատգամավոր: Երկու անգամ ավելի փոքր օրենսդիր մարմինը մեզ լրիվ բավարար է: Որովհետև պետական կառույցները ծախսում են հարկատուների փողերը: Ինչպես տեսնում եք՝ ոչ այնքան արդյունավետ»,–գրում է թերթի խմբագիրը։
