Հայաստանում գնալով Էքստրեմալ սպորտաձևերը զարգանում են, հիմնվում նորերը:
Օգոսոտոսի 15-ին բացվել է էքստրեմալ լողի ակումբ, որի նպատակն է բաց ջրամբարները լողալով անցնելը: Ակումբի հիմնադիրն է Աշոտ Պետրոսյանը, ով բավականին երկար ժամանակ է զբաղվում է այս սպորտաձևով:
Վերջին տարիներին Աշոտ Պետրոսյանը մասնակցել է տարբեր էքստրեմալ սպորտաձևերի փառատոնների, որից հետո նա մտադրվել է ստեղծել բաց ջրերում լողալու էքստրեմալ սպորտաձևը:
Ակումբի հիմնադրման կապակցությամբ Աշոտ Պետրոսյանը և 10 երիտասարդներ երեք ժամում լողալով անցան Սևանա լճի 10 կմ տարածք:
Աշոտ Պետրոսյանը ողջունելով ակումբի բացմանը մասնակցողներին՝ նշեց, որ այս ակումբում կարող են մարզվել բոլորը անկախ տարիքից և սեռից: ՙՄեր ակումբի նպատակն է կափված և առողջ սերունդ դաստիարակել և դժվարությունների հաղթահարմանը պատրաստելն է: Գաղափարը ոչ միայն առողջ ապրելակերպին է ուղղված, այլ նաև Սևանա լճի էկոհամակարգի պահպանմանը: Քանի որ վերջին ժամանակշրջանում Սևանա լճի նկատմամբ մարդկանց վերաբերմունը ոչ բարեխիղճ է եվ մաքրությանն այնքան էլ լուրջ չեն վերաբերվում, մասնակիցներն այս քայլով խրախուսում ենք պահպանել բնությունը, իսկ լողորդներն ու քաղաքացիներն ամբողջությամբ վայելեն բարձր լեռնային քաղցրահամ լճի էկոլոգիական օգտակարությունը՚,-նշեց Աշոտ Պետրոսյանը:
10 կմ շրջանագիծը ավարտելուց հետո նշել է որ բավականին դժվար էր լողալը քանի որ լճում առկա ներքին հոսանքները դժվարացնում էին լողը: Աշոտ Պետրոսյանի խոսքով այս միջոցառումը կազմակերպվելու է ամեն տարի և ներառելու է այլ երկրներից լողորդներ, ովքեր կգան կմասնակցեն այս միջոցառմանը:
Նշենք, որ 2008թ. Աշոտ Պետրոսյանին հաջողվել է 11 ժամում ավելի քան 55 կմ լողալով անցնել Սևանա լիճը՝ սահմանելով համաշխարհային ռեկորդ:
