Չորս տարի շարունակ Հայաստանը առաջին երկրների շարքում է, որոնք ճանաչվում են որպես մարդկային թրաֆիքինգի դեմ լիակատար պայքարին նվիրված երկրներ:«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ դեսպանատունը տեղեկացնում է, որ ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերին հունիսի 30-ին հրապարակել է աշխարհում մարդկային թրաֆիքինգի մասին 2016թ. զեկույցը, որտեղ երևում է, թե ինչպես են 188 երկրներ , այդ թվում՝ ԱՄՆ-ը, 2015-2016թթ. ընթացքում պայքարել այս լուրջ հանցագործության դեմ: Յուրաքանչյուր երկրի համար նշվում է մարդկային թրաֆիքինգի ծավալը, կառավարության կողմից թրաֆիքինգի դեմ պայքարելու գործադրված ջանքերը և աշխարհում՝ ներառյալ ԱՄՆ-ում, մարդկային թրաֆիքինգի հանդեպ միտումները:
Զեկույցում ընդգծվում է Հայաստանում թրաֆիքինգի դեմ պայքարի աշխատանքային խմբի առանցքային դերը, որում ընդգրկված են ներկայացուցիչներ կառավարությունից, քաղաքացիական հասարակությունից և միջազգային կազմակերպություններից: «Այս աշխատանքային խմբի հաջողությունը ցույց է տալիս, թե ինչպիսի նվաճումների կարելի է հասնել այն դեպքում, երբ կառավարությունն ու քաղաքացիական հասարակությունը իրար լսում են և համագործակցում,-նշում է ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսը: -Այս աշխատանքային խումբը օրինակ է ծառայում բարդ և դժվարին խնդիրների դեմ պայքարելու գործ ում»: Կառավարության կողմից տրամադրված միջոցները, որոնք ուղղված էին մարդկային թրաֆիքինգի դեմ պայքարին, համապատասխան օրենքների ընդունումը, մարդկային թրաֆիքինգով զբաղվող անձանց հետապնդումը, կանխարգելիչ և մարդկանց տեղեկացվածությունը բարձրացնող գործողությունները, ինչպես նաև մարդկային թրաֆիքինգի զոհերի ինքնությունը հաստատող պաշտոնական կոմիտեի հիմնադրումը և մարդկային թրաֆիքինգի զոհերի փոխհատուցման մեխանիզմների վերջնականացումը թվարկվում են այն նշանակալից զարգացումների շարքում, որոնք նպաստեցին Հայաստանի դիրքը պահպանելու գործոմ:
