Եվրամիությունը «չի կարող պատժել Մեծ Բրիտանիային» հանրակցության կազմից դուրս գալու որոշման համար: Այդ մասին հայտարարել է Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Ֆրանսուա Օլանդը՝ ամփոփելով ԵՄ-ի գագաթնաժողովի առաջին օրվա արդյունքները:
«Խոսքը չի վերաբերում Մեծ Բրիտանիային պատժելուն հանրաքվեով ընդունած որոշման համար: ԵՄ-ն չի կարող դա անել: Դա հակասում է մեր համաձայնագրերին եւ անընդունելի է բարոյական տեսանկյունից: Բայց մենք պետք է հետեւենք ընթացակարգին»,- նշել է նա:
Օլանդի խոսքով՝ «առանց դուրս գալու մասին ծանուցման բանակցություններ չեն կարող լինել, առանց բանակցությունների դուրս գալ չի լինի»: Ֆրանսիայի նախագահը նաեւ ընդգծել է, որ ԵՄ-ն «չի կարող Մեծ Բրիտանիային ավելին տալ, երբ նա դուրս գա ԵՄ-ից, քան այն, ինչ նա ուներ լինելով հանրակցության անդամ»:
«Մեծ Բրիտանիան եվրոյի գոտու կամ շենգենյան տարածքի մեջ չէր մտնում, նա միայն եվրոպական շուկայի անդամ էր,- ընդգծել է նա:- Այժմ Մեծ Բրիտանիան պետք է որոշի՝ ցանկանում է նա արդյոք ընդհանուր շուկայի մաս մնալ»:
Ֆրանսիայի նախագահի խոսքով, եթե Լոնդոնը ցանկանում է ԵՄ-ի հետ միասնական շուկայի մաս լինել, նրան հարկ կլինի համաձայնել կապիտալների եւ աշխատուժի ազատ տեղաշարժմանը: «Ընդհանուր շուկան դա ամեն ինչ է կամ ոչինչ, այլ որոշում չի կարող լինել»,- ասել է նա, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
