Shabat.am-ը գրում է.
1. Բաժակները «խփելու» ավանդույթը գալիս է հին Հռոմից, որտեղ գինին խմելիս մարդիկ կենաց ասելու ժամանակ բաժակները «խփում էին» և միևնույն ժամանակ գինին լցվում էր մի բաժակից մյուսի մեջ, այսպիսով բոլորը համոզվում էին, որ իրենց չեն թունավորում: Դեռևս հին Հունաստանում, տանտերը պիտի միայնակ խմեր գինու առաջին բաժակը՝ ապացուցելու համար, որ իր հյուրերին չի մտադրվում թունավորել:
2. Հին Հռոմում կանայք իրավունք չունեին գինի խմել: Եթե ամուսինը պատահաբար տեսներ, որ իր կինը գինի է խմում, ըստ օրենքի նա պիտի կնոջը սպաներ:
3. Գինու տեսակը բույրով ճանաչելու աշխարհի չեմպիոնը Ռիչարդ Ջուլինն է: 2003 թվականին նա 50 տեսակ գինուց ճանաչել է 43-ի տեսակը բույրով: Համեմատության համար՝ 2-րդ տեղը զբաղեցրած մասնակիցը կարողացել է ճանաչել միայն 4-ը:
4. Հնարավորության դեպքում խորհուրդ է տրվում գինին խոհանոցում չպահել, քանի որ այնտեղի ջերմաստիճանը չափազանց բարձր է: Խորհուրդ չի տրվում նաև գինին պահել սառնարանում, քանի որ այն չափազանց սառն է: Ցանկալի է գինին պահել մութ պահարանում:
