Թուրքիան ստորագրել է Իսրայելի հետ հարաբերությունները վերականգնելու մասին համաձայնագիրը: Այս մասին բրիտանական Reuters պարբերականին հայտնել է Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարության պաշտոնյան: Թուրքական կողմից համաձայնագիրն Անկարայում ստորագրել է Թուրքիայի փոխարտգործնախարար Ֆերիդուն Սինիլիօղլուն:

Անկարայի և Թել Ավիվի միջև հարաբերությունները զգալիորեն վատացելէին այն բանից հետո, երբ 2010 թվականի մայիսին այսպես կոչված «ազատության նավաշարասյան» 6 նավեր փորձել էին ճեղքել ՊաղեստինիԳազայի հատվածի շրջափակումը և մարդասիրական օգնություն հասցնելայնտեղ, բայց կանգնեցվել էին Իսրայելի իշխանությունների կողմից:

Իսրայելը «նավաշարասյան» հանդիման երկու ռազմական նավակ էրուղարկել, որոնք պետք է նավերին ուղեկցեին Աշդոդ նավահանգիստ:Այնտեղ իշխանությունները խոստացել էին ստուգել բեռը և ՄԱԿ-իուղիներով այն փոխանցել Գազայի հատված:

Այն բանից հետո, երբ թուրքական «Մավի Մարմարա» նավի անձնակազմըհրաժարվել էր կատարել իշխանությունների պահանջները, Իսրայելիզինծառայողները դեսանտ էին իջեցրել նավի վրա: Իսրայելյան կողմիհամաձայն` թուրքական նավում գտնվող մարդիկ գրոհել են հատուկնշանակության ջոկատայինների վրա` հարձակվելով դանակներով և մահակներով: Դրանից հետո թուրքերին հաջողվել էր խլել մի զինվո րի զենքը, սկսվել էրփոխհրաձգություն, որի արդյունքում 9 թուրքեր սպանվել `էին:

Արդեն 6 տարի է` Թուրքիան Իսրայելից պահանջում էր պաշտոնապես ներողություն խնդրել կատարվածի համար և տուժածներից յուրաքանչյուրի ընտանիքին 1 մլն դոլար փոխհատուցում կատարել: Թել Ավիվը մերժում էր Անկարայի պահանջը` պնդելով, որ իր զինծառայողները գործել են միջազգայինհամաձայնագրերի և իրավունքի շրջանակում: Այդ միջադեպից հետո երկու երկրների միջև դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները խզվել էին:
