Առաջիկա 15 տարվա ընթացքում աշխարհում մինչեւ հինգ տարեկան 69 մլն երեխա կարող Է մահանալ բուժելի վարակներից ու հիվանդություններից, որոնք կարելի Է կանխել: Դա, հետեւում Է ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ի վերջին զեկույցի տվյալներից:
ՄԱԿ-ի Մանկական հիմնադրամի տվյալների համաձայն, նաեւ մինչեւ 2030 թվականը կամուսնացնեն շուրջ 750 մլն դեռահաս աղջիկների, իսկ 167 մլն երեխաներ կապրեն աղքատության մեջ: Որպես հիմք Է վերցվել մինչեւ 2030 թվականն ընկած ժամկետը. այդ ժամանակաշրջանի համար Է նախատեսված Կայուն զարգացման ընդունված նպատակների գծով աշխատանքը, որոնց առաջին խնդիրը համարվում Է չքավորության վերացումը:
Զեկույցի հեղինակներն առավել խնդրահարույց տարածաշրջան են ճանաչել Սահարայից հարավ ընկած աֆրիկյան երկրները. այդ տարածաշրջանին բաժին կընկնի վերը նշված 69 միլիոն երեխաների մահերի գրեթե կեսը:
Ներկայում նշված տարածաշրջանում 247 մլն երեխաներ, այսինքն՝ յուրաքանչյուր երեքից երկուսն ապրում են աղքատության պայմաններում եւ զրկված են զարգացման հնարավորություններից: Իսկ 20-ից 24 տարեկան մարդկանց 60 տոկոսը թերի տարրական կրթություն ունի:
Զեկույցում նշվում Է, որ 1990-ական թվականներից մինչեւ հինգ տարեկան երեխաների մահացության ցուցանիշը կրճատվել Է կրկնակի, ինչպես եւ ծայրահեղ չքավորության մեջ ապրող մարդկանց թվաքանակը: 129 երկրներում տղաներն ու աղջիկները դպրոց են հաճախում հավասար հիմունքներով, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստի գործակալությունը:
