 Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն հունիսի 27-ին ընդունել է Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների պետքարտուղարի Եվրոպայի և Եվրասիայի հարցերով փոխտեղակալ Բրիջիթ Բրինքին:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Հանրապետության Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրին և կարևորել նման այցերի պարբերականությունը, որոնք, Նախագահի համոզմամբ, դրական են անդրադառնում տարբեր ոլորտներում երկկողմ միջպետական հարաբերությունների զարգացման վրա: Նկատի առնելով, որ տիկին Բրինքի Հայաստան այցի օրակարգում է նաև Տնտեսական հարցերով հայ-ամերիկյան միջկառավարական հանձնաժողովի ընթացիկ գործունեությունը , Սերժ Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ հայկական կողմը նախապատրաստվում է աշնանը Վաշինգտոնում կայանալիք հանձնաժողովի հերթական նիստին:

Նախագահը բարձր է գնահատել ՀՀ տնտեսական զարգացմանը, տարբեր ոլորտներում բարեփոխումներին, ժողովրդավարության և քաղաքացիական հասարակության կայացմանը տարիներ շարունակ ցուցաբերված ԱՄՆ աջակցությունն ու տարածաշրջանում կայունության ապահովման ուղղությամբ Միացյալ Նահանգների կառավարության շարունակական ջանքերը և շնորհակալություն հայտնել ԱՄՆ կառավարությանը:

Բրիջիթ Բրինքը ներկայացրել է Հայաստան իր այցի շրջանակներում պետական պաշտոնյաների, երիտասարդ ձեռնարկատերերի, քաղաքացիական հասարակության, խորհրդարանականների հետ ունեցած հանդիպումներից տպավորությունները, ինչպես նաև միջկառավարական հանձնաժողովի հաջորդ նիստի պատշաճ նախապատրաստության նպատակով իրականացվող աշխատանքները: Նշելով, որ նա թեև Հայաստան է ժամանել առավելապես տնտեսական համագործակցության հարցերի վրա իր ուշադրությունը կենտրոնացնելու նպատակով, տիկին Բրինքը համոզվածություն է հայտնել, որ տարածաշրջանի կայունությունն ու անվտանգո ւթյունը, այդ թվում ՝ ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի կարգավորումը զգալիորեն կնպաստեն տնտեսության զարգացմանը և տարածաշրջանի բարօրությանը: Այդ համատեքստում նա ՀՀ Նախագահից հետաքրքրվել է վերջերս Սանկտ Պետերբուրգում ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի հարցով կայացած հանդիպման արդյունքներով և հակամարտության կարգավորման գործընթացում հնարավոր առաջընթացի հեռանկարի վերաբերյալ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի տեսակետով: Հանրապետության Նախագահը հյուրին հանգամանորեն ներկայացրել է բանակցային գործընթացի վերջին զարգացումները:

Հանդիպմանը զրուցակիցներն անդրադարձել են նաև Հայաստանում իրականացվող բարեփոխումներին, Հայաստան-Եվրամիություն համագործակցության զարգացման ուղղությամբ իրագործվող քայլերին և փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող այլ հարցերին:
