ԱՄՆ կոնգրեսականները երկրի Նախագահին եւ Կոնգրեսին կոչ են անում հետեւել Հռոմի պապի օրինակին եւ ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը

Կալիֆորնիայի կոնգրեսականներ Դեյվիդ Վալադաոն եւ Ջիմ Կոստան ողջունել են Հռոմի պապի հայաստանյան այցը` հատկապես ընդգծելով նրա` դեպի Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հուշահամալիր սպասվող այցելության կարեւորությունը: Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է Ամերիկայի Հայ դատի հանձնախումբը:

Հռոմի պապի այցի նախօրեին կոնգրեսական Ջիմ Կոստան հայտարարել է, որ Սրբազան Քահանայապետի այցը ապացույցն է նրա` հայ ժողովրդի հանդեպ ունեցած հավատարմության:

Հիշատակելով 2015 թվականին Հռոմի պապի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչումը` նա ԱՄՆ նախագահին եւ Կոնգրեսին կոչ է արել հետեւել Հռոմի պապի օրինակին եւ ի վերջո որդեգրել Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման հստակ քաղաքականություն:

«Շատ կարեւոր է, որ աշխարհի առաջնորդները շարունակում են ուշադրություն հրավիրել 100 տարի առաջ տեղի ունեցած այդ սարսափելի դեպքերին՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանությանը»,- իր հերթին ասել է մեկ այլ կոնգրեսական, «Հայոցցեղասպանության ճշմարտության եւ արդարության» բանաձեւի գլխավոր հովանավոր Դեյվիդ Վալադաոն:

Նրանց են միացել կոնգրեսականներ Ադամ Շիֆը, Ռոբերտ Դոլդը եւ ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Հայաստանին աջակցող խմբի համանախագահ Ֆրենկ Փալոնեն:

Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետ Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի այցը Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն նախատեսվում է հունիսի 24-ին: Այցի շրջանակում Երևանի «Զվարթնոց» միջազգային օդանավակայանում տեղի կունենա պաշտոնականդիմավորման արարողություն, ինչից հետո Սրբազան Քահանայապետը կմեկնի Մայր Աթոռ Ս. Էջմիածին: Նու յն օրըերեկոյան Սրբազան Քահանայապետը ՀՀ նախագահի նստավայրում հանդիպում կունենա Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի, ապա ՀՀ իշխանությունների, հասարակության և դիվանագիտական կորպուսիներկայացուցիչների հետ: Հունիսի 25-ի առավոտյան Սրբազան Քահանայապետը կայցելի Ծիծեռնակաբերդ՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հուշահամալիր և թանգարան: Հռոմի Պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսնայնուհետև Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի հետ կմեկնի Գյումրի, որտեղ սուրբ և անմահ պատարագ կմատուցվի Վարդանանց հրապարակում: Նույն օրը երեկոյան Երևանում՝ Հանրապետությանհրապարակում, տեղի կունենա էկումենիկ արարողություն և խաղաղության աղոթք: Հունիսի 26-ին Մայր Աթոռ Ս. Էջմիածնում Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետը հանդիպում կունենա Հայ կաթողիկեեպիսկոպոսների հետ: Նույն օրը Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետ Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապը Երևանից կմեկնի Հռոմ:
