Աշնանը Գյումրիում կայանալիք քաղաքապետի ընտրությունները մեծ հետաքրքրություն են առաջացնում: 2017 թվականի համապետական ընտրություններից առաջ ՏԻՄ ընտրությունները ստուգատեսի և ուժերի փորձարկման նման մի բան են: Past.am-ը զրուցել է Գյումրիի նախկին քաղաքապետ Վարդան Ղուկասյանի հետ՝ փորձելով ճշտել վերջինիս մասնակցության հարցը:

- Իսկ ինչո՞ւ է ՀՀԿ-ն այլ թեկնածուի ցանկանում սատարել:
- Ես ի՞նչ գիտեմ: Դուք պետք է ասեք: Ո՞վ է ասել, որ այլ թեկնածուի են սատարելու: Ես հիմա քաղաքականությամբ չեմ զբաղվում: Ինձ պետք է խնդրեն, որ ես առաջադրեմ իմ թեկնածությունը, որովհետև ես գիտեմ, թե ինչ լուրջ պատասխանատվություն է քաղաքապետ դառնալը, եթե գալիս ես գործ անելու: Ես գիտեմ դա, քանի որ 13 տարի եղել եմ քաղաքապետ: Այլ բան, եթե պետք է գաս ու վայելես: Սա մեծ բեռ է:
