Ամերիկայի Հայ դատի հանձնախումբը հույս ունի, որ Հռոմի պապի այցելությունը կոգեշնչի ԱՄՆ-ին ընդունելու Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը

Ամերիկայի Հայ դատի հանձնախումբը Հռոմի պապի հայաստանյան այցելությունը համարում է բաց մարտահրավեր Թուրքիայի ժխտողական քարոզարշավին: Նման տեսակետ է արտահայտել Ամերիկայի Հայ դատի հանձնախումբը` ընդգծելով, որ ամերիկահայերը ուշի ուշով հետեւելու են Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս պապի պատմական այցելությանը Հայաստան:
«Հռոմի պապի աղոթքները Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշահամալիրում կտարածվեն ամբողջ աշխարհով մեկ: Նրա ներկայությունը այդ հուշահամալիրում Թուրքիայի առաջնորդների սուր առարկությունների դեպքում հզոր բարոյական ապացույց է Անկարայի` արդարության հաստատմանը խոչընդոտող գործողությունների դեմ: Հռոմի պապը բացահայտ մարտահրավեր է նետում Թուրքիային, որը ջանում է ջնջել պատմության այդ հատվածը` միլիոնավոր հայերի, հույների, ասորիների եւ այլ քրիստոնյա ազգերի տեղահանություններն ու սպանդը»,- նշել է հանձնախմբի գործադիր տնօրեն Արամ Համբարյանը:
Նա հույս ունի, որ Հռոմի պապի այս այցելությունը կոգեշնչի ԱՄՆ առաջնորդներին դադարեցնել աջակցել Թուրքիայի` արդեն մեկ դար շարունակվող ժխտողական արշավին եւ ազնվորեն խոսել Թուրքիայի կողմից քրիստոնյա հայերի սպանդի մասին:
Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետ Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի այցը Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն կմեկնարկի հունիսի 24-ին: Այցի շրջանակում Երևանի «Զվարթնոց» միջազգային օդանավակայանում տեղի կունենա պաշտոնական դիմավորման արարողություն, որից հետո Սրբազան Քահանայապետը կմեկնի Մայր Աթոռ Ս. Էջմիածին: Նույն օրը երեկոյան Սրբազան Քահանայապետը ՀՀ նախագահի նստավայրում հանդիպում կունենա Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի, ապա ՀՀ իշխանությունների, հասարակության և դիվանագիտական կորպուսի ներկայացուցիչների հետ: Հունիսի 25-ի առավոտյան Սրբազան Քահանայապետը կայցելի Ծ իծեռնակաբերդ՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հուշահամալիր և թանգարան: Հռոմի Պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսն այնուհետև Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի հետ կմեկնի Գյումրի, որտեղ սուրբ և անմահ պատարագ կմատուցվի Վարդանանց հրապարակում: Նույն օրը երեկոյան Երևանում՝ Հանրապետության հրապարակում, տեղի կունենա էկումենիկ արարողություն և խաղաղության աղոթք: Հունիսի 26-ին, Մայր Աթոռ Ս. Էջմիածնում Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետը հանդիպում կունենա Հայ կաթողիկե եպիսկոպոսների հետ: Նույն օրը Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետ Ֆրանցիսկ ոս Պապը Երևանից կմեկնի Հռոմ:
