Բրիտանացի եվրասկեպտիկների քարոզարշավի առաջնորդ, Լոնդոնի նախկին քաղաքագլուխ Բորիս Ջոնսոնը օվացիաների Է արժանացել Լոնդոնի «Ուեմբլի Արենա» համերգասրահում հանրային քննարկումների ժամանակ միանգամայն նոր հնչողություն տալով հունիսի 23-ին ԵՄ-ին Միացյալ Թագավորության անդամակցության շուրջ կայանալիք հանրաքվեին, տ եղեկացնում Է«Արմենպրես»-ը:
«Հունիսի 23-ը կարող Է դառնալ մեր երկրի անկախության օրը»,-հայտարարել Է Ջոնսոնը՝ դրա հնարավորությունը պայմանավորելով հանրաքվեում Բրյուսելի հետ Լոնդոնի հարաբերությունների ներկայիս ձեւաչափի վերացման կողմնակիցների հաղթանակով:
Իսկ եվրաինտեգրացման կողմնակիցների ճամբարից եզրափակիչ խոսքով հանդես եկած Շոտլանդիայի թորիների առաջնորդ Ռութ Դեւիդսոնն իր հերթին հայտարարել Է, որ ինքը 100 տոկոսով վստահ Է այն բանում, որ հունիսի 24-ի առավոտյան, երբ կավարտվի ընտրողների ձայների հաշվումը, ժամացույցի սլաքները հետ չեն գնա՝ դրանով իսկ հիշեցնելով ԵՄ-ին Մեծ Բրիտանիայի անդամակցության 43 տարվա պատմության մասին:
Հունիսի 21-ին անցկացված քննարկումները, որոնք դարձել են երկու ճամբարների ներկայացուցիչների վերջին հանրային դիմակայությունը հանրահարցումից առաջ, կհիշվի նաեւ Ջոնսոնի եւ Լոնդոնի քաղաքագլխի պաշտոնում նրան փոխարինած Սադիք Խանի միջեւ տեղի ունեցած կոշտ լեզվակռվով, որը եվրասկեպտիկների ամբողջ արշավը մեղադրել Է խաբեության մեջ, եւ հատկապես բրիտանացիներին՝ ԵՄ-ին Թուրքիայի անդամակցության սպառնալիքով վախեցնելու մեջ այն դեպքում, երբ բուն Եվրամիությունում ոչ ոք նման պլաններ չունի:
ԵՄ-ին Մեծ Բրիտանիայի հետագա անդամակցության ճակատագրի շուրջ հանրաքվեն նշանակված Է հունիսի 23-ին: Այն թվով երրորդ համազգային հանրահարցումը կլինի Միացյալ Թագավորության պատմության մեջ: 1975 թվականին բրիտանացիները պաշտպանել են երկրի անդամակցությունը Եվրոպական տնտեսական հանրակցությանը, իսկ 2011 թվականին մերժել են ազգային ընտրական համակարգում փոփոխություններ կատարելու առաջարկը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
