Թուրքիայի արդարադատության նախարարությունը մերժել է Սիսի կաթողիկոսարանի վերադարձի պահանջի քննարկումը, որը նախարարությանն էր ուղարկել այդ երկրի Սահմանադրական դատարանը: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսարանից:
2015 թվականի ապրիլի 27-ին Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկությունը դատական հայց էր ներկայացրել Թուրքիայի Սահմանադրական դատարան` պահանջելով Սիսի պատմական կաթողիկոսարանի վերադարձը:
Շուրջ 100 էջից բաղկացած դատական հայցը, հիմնված լինելով պատմական, կրոնական, քաղաքական ու իրավական տվյալների վրա, հարակից փաստաթղթերով ու վկայություններով հստակեցնում էր Սիսի կաթողիկոսարանի պատկանելությունը, դրա դերն Օսմանյան կայրսության սահմաններում ապրող հայ ժողովրդի կյանքում, ներկայացնում էր Սահակ Բ կաթողիկոսի ու միաբանության հարկադիր հեռացումը Սիսի կաթողիկոսարանից ու դրա բռնագրավումը պետության կողմից:
Հաշվի առնելով դատի կարևորությունը` Թուրքիայի Սահմանադրական դատարանը ցանկություն է հայտնել ունենալ երկրի արդարադատության նախարարության տեսակետը: Նախարարությունը, 2016 թվականի մայիսի 11-ին թվագրվող նամակով Սահմանադրական դատարանի իրավասություններին առնչվող մի շարք տվյալներ ու պատճառաբայնություններ բերելով, մերժել է իրեն ներկայացրած դատական հայցի քննարկումը: Դրանից հետո Սահմանադրական դատարանը 15 օրվա ժամկետ է տվել կաթողկոսությանը` պատասխանելու արդարադատության նախարարության մերժմանը:
Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսարանի իրավական հանձնախմբի անդամները 15 օրվա ընթացքում պատրաստել են պատասխանն ու մայիսի 26-ին փոխանցել Սահմանադրական դատարան: Պատասխանի տեքստում պատմական ու իրավական հիմնավորումներով մերժվել է արդարադատության նախարարության ներկայացրած անհիմն ու հակասարական պատճառներն ու վերահաստատել է Սիսի կաթողիկոսարանն իր իրավատիրոջը` Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսությանը վերադարձնելու պահանջը:
Այժմ ակնկալվում է, որ արդարադատության նախարարության մերժման ու Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսության կողմից տրված պատասխանի հիման վրա Սահմանադրական դատարանն արձակի իր վճիռը:
