Կարեն Համբարձումյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

Հունիսի 20-ին Պուտին-Ալիև-Սարգսյան հանդիպումից բեկումնային փոփոխություններ սպասել պետք չէ։ Բայց Պետերբուրգի հանդիպման հետ կապված մի քանի կարևոր նյուանսներ կան, որոնք վրա պետք է ուշադրություն դարձենլ։ Առաջինը ՌԴ-ի երկրորդ քաղաքում կայանալիք հանդիպմանը չի մասնակցում, այսինքն սա հանդիպում է Արցախյան հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման միակ պաշտոնական ձևաչափից դուրս, սա էլ իր հերթին նշանակում է, որ համանախագահող մյուս երկու երկրները՝ ԱՄՆ-ը և Ֆրանսիան, քաղաքական այս ժեստով ճանաչում են ՌԴ-ի գերակայությունը Արցախյան հիմնախնդրի վերահսկողության հարցում։ Եվ երկրորդ, որ Սարգսյան-Ալիև հանդիպումը չի կրելու Վիենայում ԵԱՀԿ ՄԽ-ի նախաձեռնությանբ իրականացված հանդիպման ընթացքում ձեռք բերված, թեկուղ հեղհեղուկ և նախնական պայմանավորվածությունների ոգին, և այս հանդիպմանը հնարարավոր է բանակցային փուլի նոր մեկնարկի հող նախապատրաստվի։ 
Իսկ հիմա հասկանանք, լավ է արդյոք, որ Արցախյան հիմնախնդրի մենաշնորհն ամբողջությամբ հանձնվում է ՌԴ-ին։ Եթե հաշվի առնենք, որ ապրիլյան պատերազմից հետո հայ-ռուասական օրեցօր բարդացող հարաբերություններին հակառակ գոյություն ունեն ռուս-ադրբեջանական ջերմացող հարաբերություններ, ապա՝ ոչ։ 
Ի տարբերություն Հայաստանի, ՌԴ-ն Ադրբեջանի հետ հարաբերությունների շատ ավելի լայն հարթակներ ունի, և եթե մի կող դնենք էներգետիկ-տնտեսական համագործակցության հեռանկարները, ապա ՌԴ-ին Ադրբեջանի հետ կապում է Կասպից ծովը։ Առջևում կասպյան ավազանի երկրների հերթական հանդիպումն է սպասվում, որտեղ պետք է վերահստակեցվեն ծովային սահմանները, և այդ սահամանների շուրջ ցանակալի համաձայնության հասնելու համար ՌԴ-ն, իհարկե ինչպես միշտ, պատրաստ է զոհել հայկական շահերը՝ Ղարաբաղը։

Արցախյան հակամարտության այս նոր փուլը ամենադժվարն ու, հավանաբար ամենավերջին փուլն է մեզ համար, և գտնվելով չափազանց վտանգավոր իրադրության մեզ հարկավոր է դիվանագիտական գերհզոր երևակայություն և ճարպկություն մի թիզ հող չզիջելու համար, այլապես հերթական անգամ ատնատակ կընկնենք։
