Բրիտանացի լուսանկարիչ Շաուն Ջեֆերսը յուրահատուկ ֆոտոշարք է արել Նոր Զելանդիայի քարանձավներից մեկում`ցույց տալով այնտեղ ստեղծված կախարդական տեսարանը:

Ինչպես նշում է The Daily Mail-ը, Ռուակուրի մութ քարանձավը լուսավորվում է առեղծվածային կապույտ լույսով, որի աղբյուրը ոչ թե կախարդանքն է, այլ` սովորական որդերը:

Աղբյուրը մանրամասնում է, որ քարանձավի պատերից կախված հազարավոր որդերը յուրահատուկ լույս են արձակում, ինչի շնորհիվ էլ ստեղծվում է հեքիաթային պատկերը:

Նշվում է, որ Ռուակուրի քարանձավը գտնվում է Օքլենդ քաղաքից 200 կմ հեռավորության վրա:

As the stunning blue light hits a pool of water in the Ruakuri cave, it is blurred in to a smooth blue line
The glow worms give the cave a magical feel, with a photograph of a cavern within the cave appearing as something from out of a movie
Flash photography has played a big part in the loss of the glow worm population - multiple flashes can damage the worm's eyesight and affect their ability to function 
The light emitted from the hundreds of insects highlights every crease in the limestone cave's shawl-like interior
Only larvae and adult female glow worms actually glow. The light serves to attract other insects for food and to attract male worms for mating. When a glow worm is hungry, their light will shine a little brighter
