Մոնթեի մահվան տարելիցին…
Կան մարդիկ, ովքեր իրենց մահկանացուն կնքելուց հետո անգամ, շատ ավելի մեծ ու անգնահատելի ծառայություններ են մատուցում սեփական ազգին ու իրենց չգոյության հետևանքով որբացած հայրենիքին, քան մեզանից շատ-շատերը, ովքեր օրավուր կուրծք են ծեծում և ցցվում են ամենուր՝ որպես հայրենասերներ, իբր ազգի առաջադեմներ ու անշահախնդիր ծառաներ, իրականության մեջ իրենց հոգեկերտվածքով, գործողություններով, պահվածքով, կենսակերպով ու կյանքով վերջապես, ամեն վայրկյան «բռնաբարում» ու արժեզրկում են ՀԱՅ ԱԶԳ գաղափարը: Սրանց նմանները միայն իրենց մարմնավոր բարեկեցության, զվարճանքների ու անսպառ ուրախությունների, և (կամ) իբր բարեգործություններ անելով, սուտ եկեղեցիներ կառուցելով, իրենց մասին ՛՛վառ՛՛ հիշատակ թողնելու, իրենց անձերը փառավորելու մասին են երազում: Ահա այդպիսիների մասին է ասված` «Իր անձիցը խոսողը, իր անձի փառքն է որոնում, բայց նա որ իրեն ուղարկողի փառքն է որոնում, նա է ճշմարիտ եւ անիրաւութիւն չկայ նորանում» (Յովհաննես 7-18):
Մոնթե Մելքոնյանը, հենց այն ճշմարիտ, իր անձի համար այս աշխարհում որևէ բան չփնտրող նվիրյալներից է, ով սուսուփուս, առանց ավելորդ դատարկաբանությունների և կեղծ հայրենասիրական գոռում-գոչյունների արել և հավատացեք՝ նույն եռանդով շարունակում է անել իր կյանքի գործը` իր ծառայություններն այսօր էլ անմնացորդ մատուցելով իր ազգին, համայն հայությանը: Այսօր, և դրա վառ ապացույցը քառօրյա պատերազմում մեր երեխաների հերոսություններն են, հետևելով նրա օրինակին, մեր երեխաները, շատերը, գուցե ենթագիտակցորեն, ջանում են Մոնթեի դավանած արժեքային համակարգում գտնվել, մաքրության ու ազնվության, արդարության ու արժանապատվության հորիզոններում մաքառել, վերջապես Մոնթեավարի ապրել, և հարկ եղած դեպքում Հայրենիքի, իրենց Ազգի համար, Մոնթեի օրինակով, առանց վարանելու տալ իրենց կյանքը:
Իր կենդանության օրոք, արդեն կյանքի համար իր ընտրած ուղենիշներով, իր ապրելաձևով, իր Ազգի և Հայրենիքի հնազանդ ծառան լինելու նվիրումով Մոնթեն լրացրել է ազգընտիր ԵՐԱՆԵԼԻՆԵՐԻ շարքը:
