Շվեդիան չի հրաժարվի միջուկային էներգետիկայից: Չնայած մինչեւ 2040թ. ամբողջովին էներգիայի վերականգնվող աղբյուրների անցնելու ծրագրերին՝ երկրի իշխանությունները մտադիր են եւս 10 նոր ռեակտոր կառուցել, հայտնում է Financial Times–ը:
Երկրի կառավարությունը համաձայնագիր է կնքել Շվեդիայի ընդդիմադիր ուժերի հետ՝ պետության էներգետիկ քաղաքականության հարցերի վերաբերյալ: Ըստ համաձայնագրի՝ նոր ռեակտորները պետք է փոխարինեն այն ռեակտորներին, որոնց շահագործման ժամկետն արդեն մոտենում է ավարտին:
Եվրոպայում միջուկային էներգիայի գործածման հարցը մնում է շատ սուր 2011-ին ճապոնական «Ֆուկուսիմա 1» ԱԷԿ-ում կատարված վթարից հետո: Այդ դեպքից հետո օրինակ Գերմանիան հայտարարեց, որ մինչեւ 2022 թ. կդադարեցնի իր բոլոր ԱԷԿ-երի շահագործումը:
Հիմա Շվեդիայի էլեկտրաէներգիայի մոտ 40 տոկոսը տասը գործող ռեակտորներն են ապահովում, որոնցից չորսն արդեն շատ հին են ու պետք է շահագործումից դուրս բերվեն այս տասնամյակի վերջին:
Երկրի իշխանությունները չեն պարզաբանում, թե հատկապես ինչ տեխնոլոգիաներ են օգտագործվելու նոր ռեակտորների շինարարության ժամանակ, նաեւ անհայտ է, թե ինչ ընկերություններ են դրանում ներգրավվելու:
Համաձայնագիրը նաեւ նախատեսում է,որ հաջորդ տարվանից Շվեդիան փուլ առ փուլ կրճատելու է ռեակտորներից իր հարկային հավաքները, քանի որ բարձր հարկի հետեւանքով էներգետիկ ընկերությունները կանգնել են փակման սպառնալիքի առաջ:
