«Տարածաշրջանային վերլուծաբան Սարգիս Հացպանյանը Կոնստանդնուպոլսի պատրիարքի փոխանորդի քայլը որակում է որպես անբարոյականություն և խայտառակություն։ Հիշեցնենք, որ վերջինս Թուրքիայի նախագահ էրդողանին իր ափսոսանքն է հայտնել Բունդեսթագի որոշման վերաբերյալ և դատապարտող նամակ հղել Թուրքիայի նախագահին։
«Իրավունքի» այն հարցին, թե կոնկրետ ում և ինչ նպատակների համար է այս ամենն արվում, Հացպանյանը նշեց, որ Պոլսի Հայոց պատրիարքի փոխանորդը բառացիորեն Թուրքիայի շահերին է ծառայում. «Ես Աթեշյանին ճանաչում եմ դեռ մանուկ հասակից, կարելի է ասել նրա ներքնազգեստի գույնն անգամ գիտեմ, և այսօր նա ընկած է իմ հետևից ու ցանկանում է դատի տալ տարբեր պատճառաբանումներով։ Ես վստահորեն ասում եմ, որ Աթեշյանին որևէ մեկը չի վախեցրել ու ճնշել նա գործել է միայն իր շահերին համապատասխան»։
Մեջբերենք, որ Աթեշյանն իր նամակում մասնավորապես նշել էր, որ Առաջին աշխարհամարտի ժամանակ տեղի ունեցած ողբերգական իրադարձությունների մասին Բունդեսթագի կայացրած որոշումը հարուցել է մեր ազգի տխրությունը։ Որպես Թուրքիայի հայկական համայնք՝ իրենց ափսոսանքն են հայտնում էրդողանի մեծապատիվ գրասենյակին՝ ի նշան անկեղծ զգացմունքների։ Ըստ Հացպանյանի՝ Աթեշյանն անարդրացիորեն զավթել է Մեսրոպ Պատրիարքի աթոռը և իր հոտին թողել մենակ։ Անգամ հայրենադարձներ ունենք, ովքեր մկրտվելու ցանկություն ունեն, բայց նա հայրենակիցներին մերժում է ու թողնում առանց մկրտվելու, «Հայկական համայնքներում մենք ունենք հայկական եկեղեցիների ու առաջնորդների խնդիր, հայերին առաջարկում են ասորական եկեղեցում մկրտվել սա ի՞նչ է, եթե ոչ զավթած աթոռի ոչ նպատակային չարաշահում»։ Ըստ տարածաշրջանային վերլուծաբանի՝ Աթեշյանը Թարքիայում մտերմություն է անում այնպիսի անձի հետ, ինչպիսին Հասան Օկտանն է, մարդ՝ ով Հայաստանը և հայերին վերացնելու անհագ ցանկություն ունի. «Ես ունեմ փաստեր, որ Աթեշյանը միայն բիզնես կլասով է ուղևորվում, ունի բիզնեսներ և Պոլսում թանկարժեք թաղամասերից մեկում մոտ 550 հազար դոլար արժողությամբ տուն է գնել նա վարում է հոգևորականին ոչ հարիր կյանք»»,–գրում է թերթը։
