Աշոտ Խուրշուդյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

Մեր մոնոէթնիկության մասին՝ որպես հանդուրժողականության բացակայության չափանիշ, ինչպես ադրբեջացիք են սիրում ասել։
Ուրեմն, հայերը շատ տարբեր են։ Մենք Հայաստանում ունենք, արաբական աշխարհից հայեր, Իրանից հայեր, ԱՄՆ-ից եկած հայեր, ֆրանսահայեր, Թուրքիայից եկած հայեր, Ուկրաինայից հայեր, Վրաստանից հայեր ու էլ չասած ռուսաստանյան հայերը։ Բոլորն էլ իրենց հետ ոչ միայն տարբեր մշակույթ են բերում, նաև աշխարհայացք ու արտաքին հայացքներ։ Նույն Սիրիայից ունենք հայեր, որոնց մի մասը Ասադի կողմ է, մյուս մասը՝ Ասադի դեմ։
Ըստ էության , եթե Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքականությունը որոշվեր ժողովրդավարությամբ, բացառությամբ /Արցախի հարցի ու Թուրքիայի/, մնացած հարցերում մենք ստիպված պիտի լինեինք Շվեյցարիայի նման չեզոք։ Ներքին անհամաձայնություններին ու տրաբերություններին էլ պիտի հանդուրժողականությամբ մոտենայինք։ Հայաստանում կա ըստ էության իսրայելոֆոբիա, իրանաֆոբիա ու ամերիակֆոբիա, արաբաֆոբիա, վրաստանաֆովբիա, ու ի վերջո ռուսոֆոբիա ու ռոսուֆիլիա։ Կարճ ասած, մենք իրականում շատ բազմազան ենք։
Մինչդեռ, համեմատության համար, Սովետական միությունը թեպետ էթնիկ բազմազան էր, սակայն իդեոլոգիաբես մոնոլիտ էր ու այլ կարծիք կրողներին չէր հանդուրժում։ Սովետն իրականում անհանդուրժող երկիր էր։ Նմանապես Ադրբեջանն է, որը թեպետ հպարտանում է իր բազմաէթնկությամբ, բայց տոլերանտության պարտադիր պայմաններ ունի, որից եթե շեղվես, կստացվի այն ինչ սովետում էր։
Ընդհանրապես տոլերանտության լավագույն ցուցանիշը խոսքի ու խղճի ազատությունն է, մնացածը՝ անէական է։

Մենք էլ իհարկե խնդիրներ ունենք, Հայաստանը դեռ ճանապարհ ունի անցնելու։ Բայց մեր խնդիրները նման են արևմուտքի 60-ականների խնդիրներին՝ կապված անհատի ազատությունների հետ։
