«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության Ազգային ժողովի պատգամավոր Հայկ Խանումյանի դաժան ծեծը շարունակում է քաղաքական ու հասարակական լայն քննարկման թեմա մնալ: Վարկածներ կան, որ Արցախի ուժայիններն են կազմակերպել ծեծը, այլ կարծիքի համաձայն էլ Սամվել Բաբայանն ինքն է կազմակերպել այն, որպեսզի իր այցի շուրջ աղմուկ բարձրանա, ուշադրություն գրավի:
Բայց ինչ էլ որ լինի, Արցախի իշխանության համար ծեծն իրապես մեծ հարված էր, ինչը երեկ երեկոյան տարածած իր հայտարարության մեջ գրել էր նաեւ ԼՂՀ նախագահ Բակո Սահակյանը: «Խստորեն դատապարտում եմ բռնության ցանկացած դրսեւորում մարդու եւ քաղաքացու դեմ: ԼՂՀ Ազգային ժողովի պատգամավորի, քաղաքական գործչի հանդեպ բռնության կիրառումը լրացուցիչ մտահոգության տեղիք է տալիս: Այս միջադեպն ուղղակի հարված է ԼՂՀ պետականությանը, ժողովրդավարությանը եւ մեր կողմից որդեգրված արժեքներին: Կոչ եմ անում զերծ մնալ չհիմնավորված գնահատականներից եւ մեկնաբանություններից, քանի դեռ չկան հետաքննության վերջնական արդյունքները: Հետաքննության ընթացքի վերաբերյալ բոլոր մանրամասներն օրենքով սահմանված կարգով եւ ժամկետներում կներկայացվեն հանրությանը»,- երեկ հայտարարեց Բակո Սահակյանը: Սա նշանակում է, որ ԼՂՀ ղեկավարությունը պահի լրջությունը գիտակցել է:
Հիշեցնենք, որ անցած տարվա հունվարի 31-ին էլ Ժիրայր Սէֆիլյանի կողմնակիցներին հենց Բերձորի մոտ Արցախի ոստիկանները դաժան ծեծի ենթարկեցին: Ու հայ հասարակությունը հազիվ էր «մարսել» տեղի ունեցածը, մի կողմ դրել բարկությունն ու ցասումը, ապրիլյան 4 օրյա պատերազմի օրերին համախմբվեց ՀՀ եւ ԼՂՀ իշխանության շուրջ: Սակայն հասարակության լայնախոհությունը կրկին անգամ «բռնաբարվեց»: Դարձյալ գործի դրվեց բռնություններով հարցերը լուծելու տարբերակը:
«Ժողովուրդ»-ի հարցին, թե ինչու մինչ օրս չի հաջողվել կասկածյալներին ձերբակալել, ԼՂՀ փոխոստիկանապետ, գնդապետ Բորիս Ենգիբարյանը պատասխանեց. «Ձեւավորվել է քննչական խումբ, որի կազմում ընդգրկվել են Ղարաբաղի ոստիկանության քննչական վարչության` հատկապես կարեւոր գործերով քննության բաժնի եւ նույն վարչության Ստեփանակերտ քաղաքի քննչական բաժնի քննիչները: Տարվում է նախաքննություն»:
