74 տարեկանում մահացել է բռնցքամարտի արքա Մուհամեդ Ալին։ Նա նախօրեին հոսպիտալացվել էր։ Ալիին տարել էին Ֆենիքիսի հիվանդանոց։ Մահից առաջ բռնցքամարտիկը շրջապատված է եղել ընտանիքի անդամներով։

Նրան հոսպիտալացրել էին ծանր շնչառության պատճառով։ Տարիներ շարունակ Ալին պայքարում էր Պարկինսոնի հիվանդության դեմ։ Բժիշկները զգուշացրել էին, որ նրան ժամեր են մնացել ապրելու։

Ալիի ընտանիքի խոսնակը հաղորդել է, որ թաղման արարողությունը կկատարվի հարազատ քաղաք Louisville-ում (Կենտուկի)։ Նա նաև շնորհակալություն է հայտնել հանրությանը մշտապես իրենց աջակցելու համար։
