Որևէ կասկած չկար, որ Գերմանիայի Բոնդեսթագն ընդունելու էր Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման մասին բանաձևը: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց ԵՊՀ թուրքագիտության ամբիոնի վարիչ, պրոֆեսոր Ալեքսանդր Սաֆարյանը: «Այն առաջարկված էր ինչպես իշխող, այնպես էլ կանաչների կուսակցության կողմից: Բնական է, որ թուրքական կողմը որևէ ազդեցություն ունենալ չէր կարող այդպիսի կայացած պետականություն ու ժողովրդվարություն ունեցող երկրի վրա, ինչպիսին Գերմանիան է»,-ասաց Ալեքսանդր Սաֆարյանը: Նրա խոսքով, Թուրքիան պետք է հասկանա, որ ժխտողական քաղաքականությունն ապագա չունի:

Ալեքսանդր Սաֆարյանը նշեց, որ Բունդեսթագում բանաձևի ընդունումը ողջունվելու է թե Հայաստանի իշխանությունների, թե համայն հայության կողմից: Նա հիշեցրեց, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչումը մեր արտաքին քաղաքականության գերակայություններից է` կապված մեր ազգային անվտանգության հետ:

«Արդյոք Գերմանիայի Բունդեսթագի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման մասին բանաձևի ընդունումը կարող է շղթայական ռեակցիա ունենալ». հարցին ի պատասխան, Ալեքսանդր Սաֆարյանը նշեց, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը վաղուց ճանաչված ցեղասպանություն է:

«ԳԱԱ թղթակից անդամ պրոֆեսոր Նիկոլայ Հովվհաննիսյանն ունի աշխատություն` «Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչված ցեղասպանոթյուն է» վերնագրով: Եվ դա, իրապես, այդպես է: Ինչպես գիտենք բազմաթիվ երկրներ են ճանաչել, ԱՄՆ-ի նահանգների ճնշող մեծեմասնությունն է ճանաչել է Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: Ես կասկած չունեմ, որ վաղ թե ուշ ԱՄՆ-ի կոնգրեսը, ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահը ճանաչելու են Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: Ավելին, վաղ թե ուշ նաև Թուրքիան է ճանաչելու Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: Ի դեպ, այս մասին առիթ եմ ունեցել ասելու թուրքական լրատվամիջոցներին»,-հավելեց Ալեքսա նդր Սաֆարյանը:

Գերմանիայի Բունդեսթագն ընդունեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման բանաձևը, որն ունի «1915 թ. հայերի և մյուս քրիստոնյափոքրամասնությունների ցեղասպանության հիշատակի և ոգեկոչման մասին» անվանումը: Բանաձևն ընդունվեց ունենալով ընդամենը մեկ դեմ, մեկձեռնպահ ձայն:

Ելույթ ունեցողները միաձայն ընդգծում էին անցյալի հետ առերեսման անհրաժեշտությունը, նաև` Հայաստանի և Թուրքիայի հաշտեցմանգործընթացին նպաստելու մղումները:
